I don't think it would be rotten personally, but I realize that it won't happen, because it would convey the message that we are backing down and the terrorists are winning. What do you think the US should do to prevent terrorist attacks?
I agree with parts of the statements, but very few of them as a whole. It would have been nice if this were broken down into smaller chunks per answer option.Which of these statements found in my sociology textbook do you agree with?
kaleb, you choose how small or large of a snippet to include. Many of the statements contain two or more basic kernels, for example: "Hydro-electric dams and large construction projects are ecologically disastrous masculinist status symbols." Maybe I can't check it because I don't agree with the one word "masculinist", but if I leave it unchecked it seems like I don't agree with any of it.Which of these statements found in my sociology textbook do you agree with?
You define what the cut-off point is. You can choose to quote as many or as few of his words as you want. Which of these statements found in my sociology textbook do you agree with?

I meant simply what I said. You will find that I have made similar comments in the past when I thought too many ideas were presented per option (so have others). An example is that people sometimes ask a yes or no question, but don't give simple "yes", "no", "other", "maybe" type options, instead stringing together lengthy options which are not representative of many, if any, users' opinions. Basically, most people end up checking "other" because they can't find anything they exactly agree with.

Based on your comments, it doesn't seem like you were interested in a survey at all, but rather were trying to make some type of statement. I realized this effect, but not this intention. I now see why you were so eager to hang on to the lengthy options. Too bad. This could have been an interesting survey.

The ironic thing is, I am hardly "left-wing". I am a registered, card-carrying libertarian. Your personal attack on me is unwarranted and off the mark.

You wrote: "It's very easy for some [women] to get another woman to take care of their kids and do the housework if they have the cash." Um, do you see the gross sexism of that? Why should it be the woman's responsibility automatically to care for the kids and do the housework, or to find someone who will? Which of these statements found in my sociology textbook do you agree with?
It could be a number or not depending on context. It could be the absence of anything (thus, if it isn't anything, then by definition it can't be a number). If it's used in a mathematical operation, obviously it has to represent a number. I can't add 3 and 0 if zero isn't a number, just like I can't add 3 and oranges. Is zero a number?

Just no.Do you like rats?
