This whole movement of pretty boy (or girl) crooning bullcrap bands is making me want to puke. Sorry, but I didn't like "New Edition" and I don't like any incarnation that's clawed its way up from the trashcans any better! From the Back Door Boys to 98 Degrees of Separation, I hate them one and all. | Do you like the pop band 'N Sync?
I use it as if it were money. Sick, yeah, but true. | Do you use a credit card as a convenience vs. as a loan?
Yes, but he must register under his new name AND his old name with the agencies that track these sick bastards. | A convicted child killer wants to change his name because he wants to avoid notoriety and maintain his privacy. Should he be allowed to?
I was raised by my grandparents. When my grandmother was comatose, dying of various cancers, almost the whole family was there 24 hours a day at the hospital. We knew she'd never recover, so we decided to pull the plug. That was the hardest thing I ever did. The grief came before she actually died, in acknowledging that she was already dead, and was simply being kept alive artificially. | What was the most difficult goodbye you ever had to say?
What a combo... nervous, excited, hopeful, sad, frightened, lonely, but confident. I had worked previously for seven years with a production company in Canada. Moved myself down here to work in an unstable computer game start-up. Thinking about it now, I must have been NUTS! Worst part was worrying that I had moved my wife and 9-month old daughter into a bad situation. But hey, here it is, almost 4 years later, and we shipped the game in November, and things couldn't be better. Lies! My visa doesn't allow my wife to work here in the U.S. so we're not doing well financially, but otherwise, it's not bad. | How did you feel when you first started your current job?
With a four-year-old daughter, the stress levels can be pretty high, but luckly, they're balanced by the joy of seeing them having so much fun. | do you think the holidays are.......
I checked "I do nothing" because I respect their right to a normal day, and having dealt with actors and other famous people in a production company, I just decide to act professional. However, if the opportunity comes up, I will try to talk to them, and at least give them a short sentence telling them that I appreciate their work. I know someone who met Bowie in an elevator before his show. If that were me, I think I would have turned, said, "I've been a fan of yours since I first heard your voice. Thanks for everything." and continued staring straight ahead until my floor came up. I'd let the person decide whether or not he/she wants to continue the conversation. That said, I've met several of my idols, and have reacted differently. Penn Gilette was hanging out talking to fans after a show, so that lends itself more to an extended conversation. Body language is something to watch for. If he looks approachable, try an approach. If he's moving quickly, keeping eyes down, or with friends, please let him be. | What do you do when you meet your 'idol' unexpectedly?
Having been married for almost nine years, I think it's a wonderful thing, if you find the right person. Too many people get married because it's expected of them, or because they THINK they're in love. Get married, but don't jump to it. My wife and I knew each other and loved each other for almsot ten years before getting married. Oscar, grow up. Get with the program. Your views are already outdated. Vos, who said "will marriage make you not get tired of your spouse?" Of course you're going to get tired of him/her. It happens. Like most things in life, things happen in phases. You love your spouse more sometimes than others. But a lifelong love CAN and DOES happen. They, my wife kept her last name, so my daughter has MY last name. The name thing is not a good reason to get married, nor is financial security, because a divorce can certainly screw that up! | Do you believe in marriage?
Liberal all the way, I guess. Sheesh, what a Canuck! | What is your general political ideology?
I opened one up ages ago, never used it past the first week. | Do you have an ICQ account?
