41Sometimes I am so busy at work that I cannot complete assigned projects there. I have to bring them home to finish them. I really dislike doing that because I spend enough time at work, it bothers me when I have to continue thinking about it at home.On average, how much of your paid time at work, do you spend on your own things (Internet, telephone, etc)?

Right Brain - 26%

When it comes to brain usage it appears that I am mostly "sub par".. * ? * * ? * * wry smile * * laughing out loud *
According to the test linked below, are you left or right brained?
43Unfortunately, I have been to more than my share of funerals. Most have been normal. Sad but normal. Some have been more animated than others. I buried my husband 5 years ago. His family was very much into expressing their grief as loudly and dramatically as possible. I grew up Catholic so this display, while perfectly natural amongst his family and friends, was so foreign to me. I was raised to be strong and stoic and to keep a stiff upper lip (never let them see you sweat and all that). Their open displays of anguish terrified me because I was already in so much pain I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep it together for my kids. It also helped me be more open with my grief which I will always be grateful for. Have you ever been to a funeral or wake where someone made a "scene"?
44Yeah, it was pretty awful. I'd say it was the worst period of my life. Not that I wouldn't change it in a minute back to what it used to be but, it has also made me realize I have more strength and determination than I ever gave myself credit for. My instinct was to stay "proper" as well but I was wrong. Which is not to say that you are, just my personal experience. I tried so hard to be strong and "brave" for my kids, I almost lost out on acknowledging their loss. We worked through it though and today they are both wonderful people that I would like even if I wasn't their mother. * smile * Have you ever been to a funeral or wake where someone made a "scene"?
45My definition of respect is showing deference to an institution or an elder (or a young 'un) who has earned their "stripes" through hard work, discipline and bravery. I also believe it is something that is earned and not "bestowed" upon someone simply because they have lived longer than me or are in a higher position that me in life or work... It's a hard word to define but I know when someone deserves it and when someone doesn't. You're right, there isn't a lot of respect for much left in the world. I can't speak for everyone of course, but I have noticed that people are becoming crasser and there's a noticeable (almost embarrassing) "dumbing down" mentality. People actually seem proud of their ignorance. ?? Is my age showing? The word for today is?
46Excellent. I agree that respect is also a state of mind. When I gave my definition, I was looking at it as to whom or what do I feel the most respect for. Your answer included everyday respect; sort of like what kind of respect do you give automatically. Respect for all living creatures is a great example. I also agree that you have to have self respect before you can respect others. Your example of respecting prisoners is also right on the money. I would also add respect for others who do not share the same opinions that I do, which goes hand in hand with tolerance. Something else the world could use more of.
Thanks for adding your thoughts, they helped to clarify mine. * smile *

And I thank you for your reply to my reply... Shall we dance now? Ha Ha Ha! * grin *

Mother, do you think they'll drop the bomb?
Mother, do you think they'll like this song?
Mother, do you think they'll try to break my balls?
Ooooowaa Mother, should I build a wall?

Mother, should I run for President?
Mother, should I trust the government?
Mother, will they put me in the firing line?
Ooooowaa Is it just a waste of time?

Hush, my baby. Baby, don't you cry.
Mama's gonna make all of your nightmares come true.
Mama's gonna put all of her fears into you.
Mama's gonna keep you right here under her wing.
She won't let you fly, but she might let you sing.
Mama's gonna keep Baby cozy and warm.
Oooo Babe.
Oooo Babe.
Ooo Babe, of course Mama's gonna help build a wall.

Mother, do you think she's good enough,
For me?
Mother, do you think she's dangerous,
To me?
Mother will she tear your little boy apart?
Ooooowaa Mother, will she break my heart?

Hush, my baby. Baby, don't you cry.
Mama's gonna check out all your girlfriends for you.
Mama won't let anyone dirty get through.
Mama's gonna wait up until you get in.
Mama will always find out where you've been.
Mama's gonna keep Baby healthy and clean.
Oooo Babe.
Oooo Babe.
Ooo Babe, you'll always be Baby to me.

Mother, did it need to be so high?
Do lyrics matter to you?
50Mask. I've seen it several times and still cry at the end. Now, whenever I hear The Dead's "Ripple" it makes me tear up. Name a movie that made you cry.
