701Chocolate cake (chocolate frosted). given a choice of a topping, strawberry, especially for chocolate ice cream. candy is M&M's.... I can't believe you forgot those. and while I may mentally wish to indulge my sweet tooth at the moment, I just got back from lunch so I am quite full, thanks.. * cool smile * (though a big glass if ice cold milk would be wonderful).
*Resy: ayup.. to me it is the perfect thing after a good meal, or with sweets or just to quench your thirst (except in extreme heat and humidity).
What is your favorite dessert, candy, and associated topping?
702the first statement is true regardless. if you are dead, you are feeling nothing. however, if you have a moment to regret before you kicked the bucket, then I would want to be a better person and not being the person I want to be. given 5 years, I still wouldn't have accomplished this. in fact, I don't think I will ever be as good as I could. my goals move further ahead as I, to my mind, improve. I don't think I will ever be the person I want to be. that is the nature of ideals (to me)...
*um.. yeah.. what dpolicar said. my regrets have nothing to do with if I die now, in 5 years or in a hundred years. (but I didn't change my vote)
If you learned you would die in a few days, what things would you regret not having gotten to do most? (more follows below)
703limited to the people I know, I will say, overall, it is no. everyone is selfish to a degree. then again, if I think someone is overly selfish, I probably wouldn't make an effort to get to know them.
humanity on the whole is selfish.
*jzp: they kind of have to be from nurture, because the child is the center of attention for so long, because it really is helpless for a while. Once that period is over, the child is still protected (as it should be), but they aren't really trained out of the mememe attitude.
Do you think most other people are selfish?
704Do I think I am selfish? absolutely. am I selfish by your definition? no.
*lisashea: owie.. took me a moment to parse that... it is late in the day, my brain hurts..
*lisashea: I understood it, it just took me a moment... the double negative strained my neuron..
Are you selfish?
705RC. What's your favorite, Coke or Pepsi?
706I'll use mouse/keyboard. but this is too vague. you can't really use a joystick to play... civilization. so, since I prefer strategy (or non shootemup or non-flight simulators), it is keyboard/mouse by default.
I think the mouse and keyboard are the same, and in some cases you have to use both. (heck, in some cases the mouse is built into the keyboard) I picked other, but it isn't really other. for flight simulators, I'll use a joystick. for doom(and similar games), I'll use the keyboard.
When playing a computer game, what type of controlling device do you prefer to use?
707I'd talk to the bride, probably in about that insulting a manner. if they still wanted me to attend, then I would buy what I could afford, which may include chipping in with other friends.RSVP
708they are not already doing this? one of the PBS stations in the area was showing monty python at like 11:15 a couple nights last week.
*heh, I hate Mr. Bean as well, but I like black adder. Benny Hill had it's amusing moments. I hate Absolutely Fabulous as well. I agree with hunter on 'are you being served' and think the same of 'keeping up appearances'(I think that is the title). I haven't really watched fawlty towers. I also enjoyed the 'young ones'. on the whole I like british humor.
seven: YES. I loved watching the news each morning when I was in london a few years ago, every day at 8:07 they broke the news report for dangermouse. I didn't get to see that much of it.
*milktree: I thought he was only a drooling git in the first series.
Red Dwarf & Monty Python
709after about 20 minutes of ignoring it, my stomach gives up...
*heh, actually, this is my standard practice on weekends. I will eat a good sized lunch at noon on saturday, then eat again at around 4 on sunday, continuing to snack (bag of pretzels or suchlike) until about 7, then go back to the 1 to 3 meal a day during the week.
*pookster: forget to eat? easy. if you are doing something that keeps your mind occupied enough that hunger and other outside influences don't even get noticed. there have been several occasions where I have been 'into' something and don't look up or notice any outside stimulus until I realize that I am tired because I have been sitting there for 16 hours and it is time to move.. that is an experience..
How does short-term hunger affect you?
710sure. been there, done that with a $10 bill actually. just on the side of the road. no one around, just lying there. I was with a friend of mine and we both spotted it, so we split it (actually we bought something and split the remainder. I will almost always pick up anything that is larger than a penny. You're outside walking, and you find some money (no more than $5.00) on the ground. Do you pick it up and keep it?
