The popular media is extremely poor at reporting research findings (they consistently confuse causation with correlation, as well as make sweeping "you should" statements based on inconclusive or insufficient research). Research studies themselves are often flawed and often biased because of funding source. So, I don't listen to all that noise. My health habits in particular are already set, I believe in moderation, not in eating the food of the moment or doing the fashionable amount of the fashionable exercises, all of which will change tomorrow so the media have something new to yak about. | Does this statement influence you? |
