I complain excessivly about my father being a jerk and all, but whenever I see a friend my first question is always "how've you been" and then I will talk to them about what's been going on in their lives before we talk about mine. When my fiancee and I go out usually I'll just cuddle up in his arms and tell him "any place but such-and-such would be perfect".
