I guess thats what started the discussion yes... Alley McBeal that is even though I personally don't watch the show... We have had the topic up in lab as a result....Unisex public (at work or in bars, etc.) bathrooms are...
Broken bones and I are friends.... I have broken my toes, bones in my foot, ankle, knee, ribs, fingers and nose... Not bad eh? Do I have weaker bones than normal... I don't think so... I just get involved in not so forgiving sports.... : )Broken bones:
I think the actual healing is about average, but I can ignore injuries better than most... I "walked" for over 24 hours on my knee broken in 6 places, refusing to accept that it was broken... I broke two of my fingers falling off a horse and still got back on the horse and completed the training session, came home and had my dad tape them together and continue on to riding camp three days later without seeing a doctor.when I hurt myself (scrapes, bruises, broken bones, not sickness) I heal...
Well I would take the one year and then take the drug? Is this possible? Either way, the drug is less permanent that death, and there is a chance for discovery of some drug or gene that makes you smart later on in your life... : ) But it depends on hoe stupid I would get...Scenario: You have a disease that every expert tells you will kill you in a year unless you take a drug that will make you permanently stupid for the rest of your life. Do you take the drug?
Well, doctors say I am allergic to dust and pollen, but I have only ever had symptomes once and never again.... I had allergic reactions to pineapple a while back but that also seems to have gone away... : )Do you suffer from any allergies?
In this world it is who you know even though it really should be what you know Which is more important in getting ahead, who you know or what you know?
Bachelor in Science in BiotechnologyWhat was (or is or will be) your major as an undergrad?
I think not. At times it may seem this way, but if the parents absolutly can't deal with a disabled child then the quality of life for that child, if born, would probably be low and it would not be fair to the child... However, a majority of people who have the testing done (in Sweden I am not sure about here) will keep a disabled child, as long as it can live a full filling life. (Meaning if the child is so disabled that it won't live for more than a couple of months it is most probably aborted). I guess it all comes down to if you are willing to keep the child and want a child then you are ok with the responsibilities that accompanies that, if you aren't ready then you shouldn't have a child disabled or not.Does pre-natal testing send the message that "no life is preferable to disabled life"?
Back home Mother's day is not this Sunday, but we do celebrate it later on this monthHow will you celebrate Mother's Day this year?
