Drifted apart.... I have had several trans atlantic relationships and they just dont work | In the past, when my romantic relationships have come to an end...
I think that they are a good measure of simple standards, like 2+2=4. I am not sure about the intelligence... It depends on how you define intelligence. | Standardized tests (like the SATs):
I believe in the power of the nature of things | Which of the following statements best describes your religious beliefs?
Naturally, things would change drastically, but would I survive of course! Things like cooling foods would probably be the thing I would miss the most. I got used to living with only 3-4 hours of electricity a day for almost a year when I lived in Tanzania. The plant that supplied electricity for the entire country had only one turbine running because the other (11 of them) were busted due to no maintenance (this word does not even exist in Swahili). So the entire country was supplied with one turbine and as a result rationing was implemented. We got 8 hours of electricity as a X-mas present from the electric company that year... We kept our food cold through generators when needed, and pumped water only once a day (showers were no longer than 2-3 minutes or you were left with soap all over). It was hard, but we lived and got used to it, and once we left it took some getting used to turning things like lights on again... : ) | If the power went out tomorrow, and NEVER came back on, could you survive? (Feel free to elaborate.)
I think space is as important as earthly interests. I think we have a long way to go before we can send anything very far and it still be working well enough to transmit data back, but I think we should invest in trying to. Manned missions are less important, for now, and the space station is a good way to launch deep space studies and research for both earthly and space issues. We need to figure out our solar system before going much further and in a step wise fashion some day interstellar travel may be possible. | Mankind should make this kind of investment in space-travel:
Well since I changed schools so many times I decided to go with the last one I attended (10-IB2). We had an excellent community service and cultural program, excellent English in every way program, average science and math... I guess what we really lacked was computer anything, arts and music and the history teacher was over 80 years old! | Which subject is most inadequately taught?
Shrimp cocktail for starters with white wine Filee Provencale for main course with red wine Good cheesecake with coffee and desired after dinner drink as desert If it wasn't a fancy dinner style I would make Hearts of palm for starters or seviche(sp?), pepper soup for maincourse and marang swiss for desert | If a couple you wished to impress were coming over for dinner, what meal would you prepare for them? Assume they'll eat anything.
UAE is United Arab Emirates. You know I wasn't sure about Sri Lanka or not so I checked the flight listings and they said Sir Lanka thats why I put it... Yeah right next to India. **As for the issue about geography not being important to everyday lives... Perhaps not directly, but personally I think it's general knowledge that everyone should know (I don't mean every place in the world). If you meet someone randomly who is not from this country and you know something about their country I think it gives a better impression of you then if you ask things like "hmmm what state is that in?" (Yes I have been exposed to this several times). | Geography.... Without checking do you know where the following are?
None | Finances. Which of the following has happened to you?
Mars...? No, but somewhere warm, with ocean and NO people... Preferably sailing.... | Where would you go for your dream vacation?
