11That birth order thing is kind of bogus. Birth order ... (note this compares to other children in the family, "natural" or "adopted" or whatever)
12I am a leech on the world. Well, not really, but sometimes I wonder...Which have you done more of: given to society or taken from society?
13Oh my gosh. I couldn't even begin to narrow it down to a single song. Today's listening includes AFX's "Analogue Bubblebath 3" (Aphex Twin under a different name, with no track names, the pretentious git); Doubting Thomas: "The Infidel" (a wonderful moody album, on which "Naugal Tone" is my favorite track); Pieter Nooten and Michael Brook's "Sleeps With The Fishes" (on which "Clouds" is my favorite); the Pixies, "Doolittle" (thanks, Jer!); My Bloody Valentine, "Glider"; Speedy J, "G Spot" (on which I happen to rather like "The Oil Zone"); Orbital 2, which is just good all the way through, much like their "In Sides" and the rivetting "The Box;" Tears for Fears, "The Hurting," on which "Mad World" is my favorite; some old Clan of Xymox; some Orb; Recoil, "Hydrology" and "1 + 2." He Said are also good (side project of Wire). I'm rather fond of what I've heard of Can, but I'm not sure where else to go from there. Delerium tend to be interesting, in a derivative sort of way (it's Front Line Assembly being cheesy trancy techno). Juno Reactor. Moby (sometimes, when he's not being lame). Wire. Brian Eno, the Great Bald One. Flock of Seagulls. Old Devo (up to and including "Duty Now For The Future," since I think they lost a lot of their spark and drive after that, although they later albums are still good. Their basement tapes are so much more lively). Skinny Puppy. Steve Reich. Robyn Hitchcock (with and without the Egyptians). Kraftwerk. Alphaville. Laurie Anderson. Lots more I'm not naming. How can I narrow all this down?

Jonas: NO INTEREST IN MUSIC? Probably you just haven't found the right music. (Yeah, and gay men... You know the deal. But I refuse to believe that there's anyone so bland out there that they can't connect with _anything_.) Try WJUL, um, 88.1? 88.3? if you're anywhere near Lowell or in New Hampshire.

hunter: Yeah, I always liked "Baker Street"... I could never remember who did it, though.

Now that I'm listening to it, I'm completely enthralled by "The Oil Zone." It's starts with a very simple phrase and elaborates around it. It's beautiful...

What is currently your favorite song?
14Hell. I've had lots of premarital sex and stuff.Let's say that there really is a heaven and hell, which one would you be sent to if you died right this instant?
15I guess, whatever the heck that means. Are you in touch with your feminine (if you are male)/masculine (if you are female) side?
16"No, sir, none of our techs are _ever_ _sarcastic._" Sarcasm...
17Atzilut (is that Aztec, by chance, or Toltec or something?): I was just curious... I got pretty much the answers I suspected. You discover a single solitary Cheez-It waiting for you on your desk. What do you do?
18This idea is terrible. I can't believe it's getting support. How's Canada this time of year? Do you think the Freedom of Religion Amendment should pass?
19I picked the last two. Read more about the insertion of such memes into the cultural subconscious.Would you like to super-size that meal?
20Mosquitos are one of the few things I'll arbitrarily kill without remorse. Are mosquitoes our friends?
