211Sometimes you can identify a dialect or speech mannerism that is typical of black or white culture, but a black or white person can just as easily be possessed of speech mannerisms that are typical of the other culture, if they grew up in it or adopted it for some reason.
Can you tell if someone is black or white just by hearing their voice on the phone?
212Yes, right now a fuchsia which is re-growing after being cut down and dormant for a couple of months, and a few Pothos ivy plants.
I hope to have Tulips and Daffodils to enjoy this Spring, and herbs, pansies, impatiens, petunias, and geraniums this Summer, but they are mostly Porch plants, not houseplants.
Are you the caretaker of any houseplants?
213You can have houseplants even in a virtual dungeon, if you choose plants that are shade-hardy. Victorians used to grow Cast Iron plants in their dark, musty parlors for that very reason.
Look into it, you will find that there is a houseplant for every situation. Pothos Ivy are not really ivy, but a tropical climber, but they are pretty, very easy to grow, and don't require direct sunlight, which is why they do well in offices where there is only fluorescent light.
Are you the caretaker of any houseplants?
214Kanga by nature (which continues to be an unrequited yearning)
Eeyore when depressed
Rabbit by adopted posture and activities
Piglet from my childhood when I was always the littlest.
Which character(s), from Winnie the Pooh, do you identify with?
215I said none of these, but I know that cow milk can be made into paint.Cow milk can be chemically altered to become what kind of material?
216I said a guitar pick, because that is close to what I know of as a plectrum. A plectrum is the device worn on the thumb or held as a pick, used to pluck a dulcimer, of which a guitar is, I suppose, a modern evolution. What is a "plectrum"?
217For a regular New England Hot Dog (the long, slightly curved, red kind with a skin) I like them steamed, on a heated bun, dressed with yellow mustard, diced onions, pickle relish, and celery salt if it is available.
Ordinary, commonplace hotdogs (that come in a vacuum-sealed package at the grocery store, or in the turning heat-lamp roller-thing at the convenience store, I like them with chili sauce and cheese, and onions, mayo, relish, whatever is available except Ketchup.

In Rhode Island, the ONLY way to eat a hot dog is to eat a Hot Weiner. A Hot Weiner, also called a Bellybuster or a Gagger, (gross names, yes), is unique to Rhode Island, as health codes elsewhere prohibit it. It's a weird, pale, hot-dog like thing with square ends where the link was simply chopped from some continuous loop of them, and it gets served on a New England-style bun balanced with about 7 others on the bare forearm of the man who cooks them at whatever System you go to that serves them.

I like them All the Way, which means mustard, diced onions, mystery meat sauce, and a hearty sprinkling of celery salt. That's the way to eat a Hot Weiner. Say hi to Sparky at the Waterman Ave. System in East Providence for me, okay?
How do you like your hot dog?
218Oh, and only sick individuals allow Ketchup and Hot Dogs to touch. * wink * How do you like your hot dog?
219I used to eat a super-low-fat diet, and wouldn't even put a little butter on a baked potato, never ate anything with skin on it or untrimmed fat, and everything was steamed or boiled or baked, never fried.

Then I would go out AT LEAST once a week and load up on super-deep pizza and beer, or fajitas and margaritas, or Chinese Buffet. It felt so wonderful to satisfy that empty spot, and I never realized how silly that whole system was.

Now I hardly ever eat out, and usually cook pretty sensibly, but when I want a treat to eat, I don't hesitate to cut a bunch of potatoes into french fries and fry them in deep fat, or for a special dinner, make double-battered crispy Fried Chicken.

It saves money compared to going out, and probably does less dietary harm, because I don't do it as often due to the work involved with making french fries or fried chicken from scratch.

Other fatty foods, such as pizza and Mexican food, I can make with low-fat ingredients and enjoy without worrying.
Do you still eat fried foods?
220Yum. That's what popped into my head.
Especially dark chocolate, in those break-apart triangles!
When I say the word "chocolate", what is the first thing that comes to mind?
