101It depends on the person. Some use that as an excuse to avoid committing to anything, while others are earnestly searching.Do you think people that are "searching for a purpose" in life are simply unmotivated?
102I said never, but that isn't quite right. Rarely would be more accurate, but 'sometimes' seemed too frequent. I crave a lot more 'alone time' than anyone else I know, and I get downright misanthropic when I can't be alone, especially at home. It's really hard to be alone now because my mother came to live with my husband and me, and she's ALWAYS there, so I am frequently misanthropic.
The only person I really ever get lonely for is my husband, though I enjoy the company of my best friend a lot, but can go long periods without seeing her, and though I then desire socializing, I don't really feel any loneliness.
How often do you feel lonely?
103My husband. He's the only family member I got to choose.Which member of your immediate family do you get along with best? And why?
104Happily married (happier when I actually get to see him!), unhappily childless, recently transplanted to New England, morning person by nature, love to cook and bake, love almost anything I do with my hands.

Heavily muscled by nature, and overweight, but carry it well on a tall broad-shouldered frame, 6 feet tall, redhead, Gemini. Have met very few men who can beat me at feats of strength, married the one who could throw me over his shoulder, LOL though we are still evenly matched at arm-wrestling. LOL LOL LOL

And woe to the person who dares to snicker at me when I wear my pansy-print apron while doing housework! God I love being a Woman!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
105Because we are social creatures by nature, and aside from reproductive urge, we also have an innate need to be part of a group, and the best way to survive as an individualistic yet social species, is the buddy system. Add in the immense investment females must make in the birth of a child, and the fact that we tend to have one at a time instead of litters or batches of eggs, and it only makes sense to pair up. Why do fools fall in love?
106I checked all kinds of things because I would want more than one type of dream vacation. One would involve a leisurely car trip with my best girlfriend from New England to Texas via the Great Lakes and Midwest one way, and via Florida and the East Coastline the other way, and we would stay at hostels bohemian-style, eat prunes and carrot sticks and sandwiches on the road, and I would show her my hometown, Austin, and we would eat Mexican food and Pit Barbecue until we were about to burst, and stay in Austin for at least 2 weeks before heading back.

Another dream vacation is a romantic cruise with my husband to a tropical paradise, like maybe my birthplace, Hawaii. But it would have to be at the coolest time of year, cause I hate heat and sun.
We would stay part of the time at a luxury hotel, and part of the time in a crummy little rental house partway up the mountains in Oahu.
Plan your dream vacation.
107I checked both Opinion and Comparison because it was possible to check both, which it probably shouldn't have been.
It's easier to compare things than to give an opinion, unless you already know a product and already have a strong opinion of it.
What kind of consumer polls do you like best?
108My arms, I think. They are nice and strong, but in looks, they are not even remotely female-looking. Even as a child, around the age of 10 or 11, my arms started to look distinctly masculine. In high school, if I wore short sleeves, I was told once or twice that I had arms like a Marine.
I don't mind my tendency toward bulging biceps, but even my forearms tend to be a bit fat, and not just fat, but also really muscular, with defined bulges here and there, and if I work out or do anything strenuous with my hands or arms, they take on a Popeye the Sailor appearance that is most unattractive in a woman. Not at all graceful. Even when I am less overweight, I still can't wear short sleeves, or it looks like someone put a Lumberjack's arms onto a woman's body. Whenever I move my fingers, the muscles in my forearms ripple powerfully, and more so when I get any excercise.
Plus, to make matters worse, my arms are short and stocky compared to my height.
If you could change one part of your body, what would you change?
109In general, because the site is in English, components of the site should also be in English, but I did not take any offense at a survey I found here written in Dutch. I was actually pleased to see that I could understand it in writing, even though I don't know any Dutch!
But on principle, the language of a site determines the language of its components unless otherwise stated. Dialects such as British English, American English, and so forth still count as English.
Do you think surveys not written in English are acceptable on Survey Central?
110The only comic book series I ever found interesting enough to follow was Elfquest by Wendy and Richard Pini. It was really a good storyline, great characters, great art. I wish I had the collection now, in fact. But mostly, comic books are a waste of money and attic space to my mind.Have you ever read comic books?
