population | What do you think is the biggest problem facing the world going into the next century?
Yes is my answer, however it depends on ones knowledge of grammar. I truly do not see where the grammatical error is in your example . Please reply to my e-mail address and explain the error. I love to learn. miykal@hotmail.com The error that gets to me most because I make it myself when I talk fast is, "This is me (whatever noun)". Please visit my web page at http://users.bigpond.com/miykal.htm While my grammar is not so good, my spelling is very poor due to the bad logic of Inglish (English) | Grammar
Money can anable one to have power and freedom, but only if one chooses. One can have all the money in the world and still not have power nor freedom. Altimately power and freedom resides in ones mind , and this state of mind can only be discovered if one chooses to look for it. | Does money = power & freedom?
Loved your very specific "please pick one answer" However even for example you ask a so called Christian 'Do you believe in God?' and he/she replies 'yes'. You should then follow up with the question, 'Which God? describe your God to me.' Everyones interpretation of "GOD" is different. For my own part I truly believe there is something beyond our understanding and imagination. I cannot believe that all the living things we see around us came about by chance. There are so many examples in nature I could use to explain what I mean, however I will choose just one, the spider. Have you any idea of the spider's anatomy necessary to produce the thread it uses to spin a web? It's a very wonderful and intricate piece of anatomy, and is equivalent to the complicated machinery used by our own manufacturing plants to produce a yarn for weaving all of the numerous fabrics we use in our every day lives. So lets consider the spider 'evolved from the proverbial slime!'.We can ignore the millions of years it took to get from the stage of amino acids to the point where this little creature was quiet content to chase around all day long on its six little legs chasing food ,and sometimes successful in gaining a meal. At what stage did the ancestors of this creature sit back and think to itself, 'This is crazy chasing food all day long, why don't I simply spin a thread and make a web. Then I can sit back and wait till a meal gets stuck in my web'.Well even if it was possible for any creature, even humans to make a decision to change its anatomy, have you any idea how long it would take evolution to evolve the mechanism to spin a thread let alone develope the instinct for the architecture of web building. Do not misunderstand me I do not believe "it" ,god, or whatever it is,created all living things and the universe instantly, I believe in a process of evolution, however I believe that there is an architect back of it.And why should the architect that is responsible for our creation be the ultimate creator. Perhaps it also has a creator in the same manner we are on the threshold of creating an inorganic intelligence that is conscious. We have created mechanical machines that can go where we cannot, do what we cannot. Is it possible that our creator has made us in a physical form because it does not have a physical form itself? **********: lisashea:How about the new people? They might like old questions! reality: I agree with you, prividing the mainstream followers of a religion respect the belief of others, and that a religion does not denigh the right of others to believe otherwise. | Which of the following statements best describes your religious beliefs?
I cannot tick any of the above. We are all victims of our environment (conditioning), genes, and self thought! 'What does this mean?' It means mankind is a dynamic entity and will constantly evolve, hopefully for the good whatever that may be, however we could evolve for the bad and that would be the end of the human race. e.g. We all become homosexuals. End of the human race QED. | Who is responsible?
Ones real self already exists. This life we know on Earth is simply an experience. e.g. when we sleep we dream, and we do not realize its a dream untill we awake. (unless we are lucid) Likewise our experience on Earth is like a dream to our real self.(Well its a thought isn't it?) | Do you believe that you have a soul? (An immaterial essence that transcends your physical existence and will exist after your body is dead and buried)
