#CommentSurvey
21and - i used to write and administer professional surveys that test for very specific behaviours - i am not interested if everyone can answer all my surveys, i am interested in particular habits of well defined populations.i usually use a ____ when i shave (whatever body part(s) you shave on yourself or another)
22well the population i am inquiring about certainly is not as insular and discrete as one legged austrailians. there are those questions posed to women, that men can't answer, and no one takes serious offence. per communal site: it is not just for a particular social clique it is for the whole world- recognition of diversity would be nice and restriction of diversity on the basis of 'we were here first' or 'my friend bill created the site' is cultural imperialism. if you say this is the way the site is/was then it will never fulfill it s potential, and it will die as soon as we get bored with it. per 'bowing to the group': 'who so would be a wo/man must be a non-conformist.' ... oh, and i said i was a professional - not that i was paid, dear. - as for the 'we all', who are you to speak for the group (you certainly do not speak for me and i am part of the group)- there are several persons who thought the surveys were well constructed, and are upset that a few vocal people here tend to trash surveys that don't appeal to themselves, or aren't made by themselves. the sad fact folks is that people do get 'left out' of all sorts of things, for all sorts of reason that are not malicious (i get left out of gay orgies b/c i am straight .. should that make me feel 'excluded' or 'victimised' ... give me a break. it is sad to see you needing to shore up your egos like this.i usually use a ____ when i shave (whatever body part(s) you shave on yourself or another)
23ps. thank you hillbilly! :)i usually use a ____ when i shave (whatever body part(s) you shave on yourself or another)
24jody: i never said i think or feel the site is un/fair, i long ago passed beyond the un/fair gate. i don't feel left out either - lisashea wrote that s/he felt left out. and as far as creating alternate survey centrals to suit particular cliques: that sort of sentiment is what is causing such a severe political climate in the balkans.

lisashea: surveys only in english ARE exclusionary! it'd be GREAT if people began writing surveys in other languages!! the only problem might be survey central not supporting asian or arabic characters.

oh, and i am not new to the group.

if anyone wants to continue this discussion, we might want to take it private ... you can email me: mcarlos@apocalypse.org

25does it depend if the ring is connected with the symbolic capital of the relationship? i don't care much for the notion of property anyway - tho in the lockian sense it belongs to whoever put the most work into it, so perhaps it goes back to the jeweler ... that's where the ring i gave ended up. and would you ask for the wedding ring back in a divorce? (my ex still has it) if not, what is the difference with the engagement ring? When does an engagement ring become the property of the person that it was given to?
26well if you take a large perspective, we're all bill. How did you find Survey Central?
27i've waited for someone to ask my opinion about this. women often say "leave the seat down so i don't fall in" ... i lift the seat when i use the toilet, but women in this model don't lift or close - so there is an inequality in the amount of work being done ... enjoying equality among the sexes (all several of them) i put both the lid and seat down so that everyone, regardless of sex, lifts and covers. In what configuration do you generally leave your toilet seat?
28this screamed 'rachel made this' :) where to begin comment: read my book 'beyond beauty" due out in 20-something. in the meantime (insert discussion of levinas here), art begins with a wo/man-ufactured artifact which in witnessing it challanges a person's paradigms, and in that transformation of self illicits a fuller humanity (art makes us more fully human and more fully alive). art challanges us in a different way each time we witness it, no matter how often we visit it. in a nutshell: art is always already a mindfudge. in this way art is encountered subjectively, but is objectively recognisable by at least the person being transformed. what is beautiful is not always art. and what is art is not necessarily beautiful (aesthetics is the study of the beautiful ... and was/is often confused with art)... and who get to say what art is?? (it isn't just everyone) -feel free to email me comments/ engage in discussion (mcarlos@apocalypse.org)Art is ...
29see the thing is 'to see what it is like' - does this imply i'd remember and then when everything was returned to 'normal' i'd remained changed? then everything wouldn't be returned and my experience would continue to effect me. there isn't anyway out of responsibility, and even if there was i wouldn't want it. part of experiencing something is also experiencing how it shapes you in the context of your life. If you were given the opportunity to do something really bad just to see what it was like, then after you did it the whole world was put back to where it was before you did it (no harm done). Would you do any of the following?
30understood as the love of anything related to by yourself as objective, or outside yourself - especially using that thing as a way of determining yourself - then i answer yes.Do you believe "the love of money" is the root of all evil?
