| 5 | I wish I could go back and take back some things I said to people in the past. There are also things I wish I could say (to encourage, compliment, etc.) people that I didn't, even though I had the urge at the time. I also wish I tried harder to be a friend to many of the "outcasts" or so called loners in my past. Everyone needs friends and to be told that they are special. | 6 | My shyness was also the major hindrance. I have improved. In fact there is a girl at my work that no one there seems to like. I invited her to play volleyball at my church's gym, which a group of my friends do a couple of times a month. I had to invite her several times, but she finally accepted. She finds it hard to believe, but is so thankful, that there are people who will accept her for who she is, and be her friend. I believe if just a couple of people in every school, and at every company took the time to look for just one person who needs a friend, we would see a dramatic decrease in suicide, alcoholism, and drug addiction, which they my wrongly see as a way out or to forget their lonelyness.
