yup, neat but loud. I was dropped off on a glacier for a few hours, then they came back for me. | Have you ever ridden in a helicopter?
Who covers hospital costs? What happens to the finger afterwards? If I could have the finger re-attached, and have a tidy profit, then maybe. As a speed hunt-and-peck typist, my index finger is very important! | Would you let me cut off your index finger in a hospital setting for $250,000?
bill: i find it odd that you identify self-fulfillment and self-motivation from a Rand-roid perspective. Yes, that (and self-reliance, and a few other IMO positive self-things) is an element of that viewpoint, but there's strong implication that the natural and logical progression includes self-absorbtion and self-ishness [to the exclusion of helpfulness]. I know a LOT of people (especially in business) who are very strong, self-reliant, etc people that are still using external validation (money, title, reviews, etc) to validate their self-worth. Screw that - anyone not caught up in blind pursuit of high marks in school should have gotten over that. Uh, I lost my point. Something about associating internal motivation and validation with basic growing up, and not associating it with any philosophy [especially one I dislike]. | How well are you appreciated?
I'm with grmbrand on this. I never wanted to pattern my life after Chuang Tzu [and given the separation of time and culture, could not], but have tried to absorb as much as possibly relevant. | Is your role-model still alive?
I don't go for the ephemeral bulldada value of talk radio or trash TV; give me the weekly world news or something else I can savor over time. | Do you listen to talk radio?
NPR heads: I'd argue that it is talk radio, much as TV news is trash TV. | Do you listen to talk radio?
not sure; tax liability of double my normal wage is a scary thought. | Would you work for a year on half your normal salary in return for double salary the following year ?
...ID badge [& securioty token & door keycard] on neckstrap | What are you wearing right now?
jody- interesting addenda: the mainstream "American history institution" is being extremely forthright with this info nowadays. I think it is because Animaniacs taught it well to so many kids, but the age of signs in Concord &al would argue they've been telling it that way for a while. | Has a significant historical event ever occured on your birthday?
a genuine "hologram"? that's just a picture, so I don't really care. If you mean some sort of holographic projection associated with a computing device, then if the processing power was enough, then sure. | Would you want to be brought back as a hologram if you died?
