| 3373 | i used to think that they were good luck, when i was a teenager one every once in a while would come visit me in my room, i LOVED it.
NOW, after we've moved 'up north', they're EVERYWHERE. omg...when it starts to warm up in spring, the come out the woodwork and there's millions of them everywhere. and in fall-time, the all gather to find a warm spot for the winter, so they're everywhere again. imagine the whole side of your house completely COVERED in ladybugs, not a spot of house left, just all bugs. they get into the fish tank and f- up the water...horrible but, i like to think that they eat dust mites, so i kind'a don't mind at the same time  | What do you think about ladybugs? |
| 3374 | i'm not really sure if they eat dust mites or not, just what i tell myself, to psyche myself out type of thing.
actually, what we have up here is all thanks to the local DNR. they released this japanese beetle, which is 'exactly' like a ladybug but not...anyhow, they released this thing to help control the population of 'something' and they wound up multiplying themselves by like a trillion or something insane like that. these beetles were supposed to have a short life, not be able to reproduce much etc etc. it's totally sick though, it reminds me of the story of 'the old lady who swallowed a fly', makes me wonder what they're going to release next to control these beetles. and yes, we are in a rather rural area, but the 'cities' up here get em too, maybe not a bad as we get em, but bad enough i suppose. | What do you think about ladybugs? |
