32Two things make me want to say Mark Twain (even though I've never seen this quote attributed to him before).

Firstly, the writing style is full of Twain's wit and insight. Secondly, the survey about a Mark Twain quotation created last week!
Who do you think originally authored the following quote? (Answer without looking it up first * smile * )
33I think there are definitely men who could create a survey that makes as little sense as this one does. Are Men and Women really that different?
34SurveyCentral is the #3 result on google for 'pantyhose' + 'survey' after answers.yahoo.com and some site called candidpantyhose.com

38I would say that nationally racism is a larger problem. However, sexism affects far more people globally and in many more ways than racism ever does. Rape, domestic violence, child marriage, abortion, forced prostitution, genital mutilation, access to education, freedom of movement, freedom of choice, freedom to work.

As John Lennon said, "Woman is the nigger of the world".
What is more of a problem today on a global scale?
39Artificial. It's odd enough having a tree *inside* the house without it being a real one that is slowly dying and shedding it's needles all over your floor. Our tree is in a box on top of our wardrobe along with the other box full of decorations.Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or an artificial one?
40It's impossible to know what a future culture will value.

Yes, in 200 years time people might regard Elvis, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix or Michael Jackson as having produced towering masterpieces.

Equally though, society in 200 years time could revere advertising jingles and on Newsnight Review, the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren of Germaine Greer, Mark Kermode, Tom Paulin and Mark Lawson could be sitting around arguing about whether the latest music compares lyrically to "now hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid"
Do you think any music from the last half of the twentieth century to the present will be remembered as a "towering masterpiece" 150-200 years from now?
