Since my birthday is at the beginning of January, it's often a way for me to have a holiday-time party without conflicting with everyone getting their parties in during December. And it's also very nice to combine calendar-year and personal-year. I sometimes think that my own birthday reflection is kind of absorbed into the mass New Year reflection going on. I like birthdays. I watch lots of people having birthday-angst and I don't really grok it. I do think this survey is really tilted toward positive answers. Fine for me, but I know a lot of people who would not find a suitable answer here. | On my birthday...
I actually love feet and have spent a fair amount of time looking at them. They're kind of odd looking, particularly if you stare at them for a long time, but they are very individual and expressive. | Do you think human feet are ugly?
I'm surprised you forgot Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the first full-length Disney Feature. Others not on the list: Fantasia, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, the Rescuers movies, Old Yeller, Hercules and Mulan. Disney has done hundreds of movies (remember Sunday nights?) | When you watched Disney movies (or if you still do), what was/is your favorite? (This is animated movies.) The choices are the ones off the top of my head, I couldn't possibly list them all.
I like things that have memories attached to them. I often buy "souvenirs" that are things I will use. Probably my favorite souvenir is a pair of Reebok hi-tops I bought on Fisherman's Wharf during my first visit to SF as an adult. My most treasured possession...well, that'd probably be my opal, because it represents a very hard-learned lesson about doing what I can to make myself happy. | What makes you like something? Things that effect your choices. What do you like best?
Mostly I believe that death and whatever happens as a result of death is an ineffable experience. | What do you think it is like after death?
I think he's much better when he's not actually supposed to be human. I like the idea of Total Recall a LOT, but the implementation was kind of cheezy and I didn't think he really belonged in it. I wish he would fess up to the accent. Whenever I've seen JCVD movies, there's always an explanation for why he has the accent of a French-speaker, but they never mention Ahnold's. | What is your favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger movie?
The thing is, I have gotten junk mail that actually interested me and wasn't a scam and I have never been offended by a piece of junkmail, whereas the same cannot be said of spam. | Spam vs. Junk Mail
It depends entirely on what I'm doing, whether I want my hair in or out of the water, etc. | When showering, what orientation do you tend to default to?
There is absolutely nothing like being in a small car with seven other people all screaming "Suck me off! Suck me off! Suck me off!" as the car pulls up to a tollbooth. | Karen Finley.
I'm really torn on this issue. I would like spam to be illegal, but I'm really unclear as to how a law could be worded so as not to infringe on normal use of email and I'm hesitant to have the government poking around with the closest thing to public free speech we've got. | Should the government regulate email spam?
