I love giving gifts, and receiving them too! I'm torn about the whole societal consumer/gift push; on the one hand, I'd much rather just give gifts whenever they fall into your life - "oh, there's something that this person would just love", etc. But on the other hand, it's kind of nice to have occasions that remind us to be generous and take the time out of our lives to give something of ourselves to friends and loved ones. I know I get really busy and don't always think of it.... As for myself, I really love when people take me out to share an event - a concert or dinner. That way I get a great experience *and* time with the person - excellent! Books rock, too, as does anything that means something to you personally (agree with EB and Resy here). | What gift would you like most from someone you know? (choose 4)
Nick: How Infocom of you! :) | Dazed and confused, you find your self being addressed by a cop, what do you do?
What about "I like the idea of a tattoo, but haven't gotten one yet?" The only one of these answers that works for me is the fact that my like/dislike of a tattoo is design-dependent, but it's also person-dependent. I think some people (and some areas of some people) look great with the right tattoo, and some don't. It's sort of like nose or eyebrow piercings - some people (Rachel Zerner, anyone?) look amazing with them, and it just looks weird on others. I expect to get a tattoo someday, since a lot of factors appeal to me about them - the ritual of enduring the pain, the idea of permanently adorning yourself with either an aesthetic or symbolic mark.... but I haven't yet settled on the right image, and I keep wavering between getting a symbol that is meaningful in some direct way, or just an abstract image that looks really good.... | Tattoos....

I'd say once every few months I flip out and realize I REALLY SHOULD BE FLOSSING. So I floss maybe twice, then repeat the cycle. Sigh. | How often do you floss your teeth?
I think both are equally important. I tend to like dealing with GUIs much better for most applications, but there are definitely situations where you just want to tell the computer exactly what you want without going through N levels of dialog boxes. My ideal world has well-designed GUIs for all apps, and those same apps are all scriptable via the command line or a programming language of your choice.... | If you are given a choice, do you prefer a Graphical User Interface (i.e. Windows) or a command line (i.e. DOS)?
I'm allergic to albumen (makes my throat itch - uncomfortable, but not life-threatening), so I stay away from eggs in high concentrations. No problem in baked goods, though. | How do you like your eggs?
I wasn't, and I have a feeling the denial (for medical reasons) contributed to my major breast fetish... | Were you breast fed as a child?
I generally like 'em somewhat crunchy, but there's a BIG difference between just-out-of-the-oven warm soft cookies (which I do like) and the weird chemically stays-soft-forever frankencookies which you often get in the stores or the malls (which I don't like). ***Bill: I was going to do this survey today, but thanks to the search feature, I don't have to! | Do you like your cookies soft or crunchy?
