I agree completely mandy. | Do you think time travel will ever be possible ?
I can't quantify anything in my life. I refuse to. | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
Drdt: I don't believe in competitive comparisons. For example, I'm taking up music lessons for the first time in almost a decade. I've had two and a half weeks of lessons whereas my teacher's other two pupils have had months. I'm advancing faster and learning more than both of them combined. Does this make me a better musician, or is it because I've had over a decade of classical music training and they don't? On the other hand, my teacher would be considered on almost the lower rung of his professional music group. He and I both recognize that there are better musicians with a lot more years of experience in this field than we can ever hope to catch up with. He'll try all the same, but for me, it doesn't matter. As long as I do a good job without being compared to anyone else professional or otherwise, I can feel good about myself. Does that answer your question? | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
Of course I can, but I would not like to. I can quantify it on many degrees as more or less than others. As a principle, I don't believe in competition, so I often put comparisons out of my mind. You can see my talent however you see fit; I just wouldn't compare it to anyone else's. | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
For the sake of argument. But I wouldn't do it in my life. | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
Way to go Kirst! | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
Drdt: Well, of course I can recognize it, but it's not like I give a crap about doing so. Why are you so concerned anyway? And what's with the third degree? If you're trying to find an inferiority complex, look elsewhere. | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
Chi! I don't have to answer that either! | Think of the thing that you do best. How do you compare to others who do the same thing?
I get to be my friend's roadie in exchange for free music lessons. :) | How often do you barter for goods and services?
I think you're confusing barter with "haggle," something my mom is extremely good at! ;) | How often do you barter for goods and services?
