The job is adequate. Any satisfaction I receive from a "job well done" is over-shadowed by the frustration of understaffing. I'm "happy" following 99% of my job description. The other 1% is "other tasks required" which consists of customer service for other departments. That 1% takes up from 25% of my day some days....100% other days. If I go to a department for clarification I find people on voice-mail so they can "get their work done". No...I guess I'm not happy. (and now I'm totally depressed) | Are you happy in your current job?
I would regret not having the time to watch my kids have families of their own. I would regret not being able to meet my grandchildren. | If you learned you would die in a few days, what things would you regret not having gotten to do most? (more follows below)
The only games I play are Quarto and FreeCell.....Trakball works just fine! | When playing a computer game, what type of controlling device do you prefer to use?
If you couldn't tell, this is what I faced at work. I ended up telling her I wasn't going to be able to go after all, thanked her for inviting me and told her to have a great day. She did invite me to the "after the Honeymoon" showing of the video of the wedding and reception. She had about 12 of us over to sit around the TV and watch movies of her complete with instant replays. It was a year ago in September and she still brings in her wedding album for new hires to see. (Is it really catty of me to be happy she's gained 27 pounds? :)) | RSVP

If there was anyone around I would ask it they had dropped it. If they say "no" I'd keep it. If they lie to get $5 or less, they have bigger problems than I do. | You're outside walking, and you find some money (no more than $5.00) on the ground. Do you pick it up and keep it?
I would want something very simple and outdoors. Spending a lot of money doesn't make the day any more special (or make you more married). My niece recently got married and the reception was at an Inn. Small round tables were set up on the patio and there was a wonderful buffet. We all spent the day dancing, swinging on the swing, talking or just walking the grounds. It was beautiful but a lot of money was spent. Her sister, on the other hand, told people to wear shoes that would be appropriate for hiking. They were married in a clearing in the woods where they spent many hours while dating. The reception was a pig roast with volleyball and frisbee tossing. Both weddings were great but the "nature lovers" had money to put a down payment on a house. One spent money for memories, the other saved it build a life together. Neither is wrong...it's all priorities (or necessity). The most touching wedding I went to was one where the couple had very little money. The bride's mother made her gown....not a knockout gown but obviously made with love. At each seat at the reception was a piece of the same material about 6" square and an indelible pen. We were to write a message to the couple. The mother was then going to make a quilt for them using the squares. The DJ (a cousin) played a variety of music and taught us line dances. The sweatier the groom got the more obvious it became that he was a volunteer fireman (the printing on his Tshirt attested to that). None of the expensive little touches were there but everyone had a good time (especially the guy in the jeans and cowboy boots) and I've NEVER seen a bride and groom so totally in love with each other. I think sometimes if people concentrated as much on the marriage as they do on the wedding there would be fewer broken homes. PHEW! sorry about that....babble babble babble. | What kind of wedding ceremony would like to have?
Steve...there are a few states where it would be legal. My sister and her partner were married in Virginia. Hopefully all the states will eventually "grow up" and you won't have a problem. | How long did you wait after proposal would/did you wait to get married??
Being dumped is something you can usually see coming (even if it's in hindsight) so you're prepared. I've never dumped anyone. I've been the one to leave the relationship but only after trying to talk to my SO about what problems I felt we had. They felt "we" had no problems....that if there was a problem it was "my" problem. If they didn't see the problem I don't imagine they saw the dumpage approaching either. oh well. | Which is worse, being dumped or having to dump someone?
I just guessed. I used to know. McDonalds had a booklet available that had nutritional information on all the products they sold. I was surprised to find they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. | Do you know how many calories are in a McDonald's meal consisting of a Big Mac, large fries, and a large shake?
