20I believe what adam and eve did was all part of God's plan. I feel like the majority of Christianity thinks that Adam and Eve royally screwed up and damned us all. I disagree. I believe we will all be punished for our own sins and not for Adam's transgression. The moral of their story is that in order for us to learn and grow we must experience opposition. The garden of eden was a perfect environment. But because adam and eve had no experience with evil they knew not that the garden was perfect. By eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they introduced imperfections, sin, evil, and sickness into the world and thus opened their eyes to understanding; taking them out of their innocent state. We can't know good without evil. We can't know happiness without sorrow. We can't know pleasure without pain. That simple. What is the moral the "Garden of Eden" story in the Bible?
