| 42 | Yeah, me too. I think my favorite piece by him is The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. | In what manner would you live more extravagantly if you could? |
| 43 | Yes, Blake was a visionary since childhood, subject to frequent visions of angels, demons and other entities. His father would punish him for talking about these things, thinking he was lying. The world is fortunate Blake was born in the time he was, if were born in our time he would have been stuffed with Thorazine or other anti-psychotics and our literature would be so much the poorer for it.
You have mentioned your son before, I never did say that I am sorry for your loss, but please accept the sentiment as a genuine offering of sympathy. Sorry, I'm not much good at this type of thing. I happen to know that when such a loss occurs in my life, I just tend to withdraw into myself and pay little attention to sympathetic offers from others. | In what manner would you live more extravagantly if you could? |
| 44 | Bram Stoker's Dracula starring Gary Oldman. | What scary movie do you recommend? |
| 45 | > The only movie that's ever scared me is the Exorcist.
What I've noticed about this movie is that virtually every Catholic I have known who saw this movie was scared by it. Protestants, Jews and others not so much. So, the question arises, were you ever Catholic? | What scary movie do you recommend? |
| 46 | Gary Oldman. The first several films I saw him in, it was at least halfway through the film before I realized I'd been seeing him all along. He kind of takes on the characters so well, he can be difficult recognize. | Who do you think is the best actor/actress of all time? |
| 47 | Well, according to Christian theology, yes. Also according to Jewish theology, but for different reasons. I'm not sure about my status according to Wiccan theology. I seem to remember something along the lines of "And ye harm none, do as ye will." I rather like that attitude. | Are you a sinner? |
| 48 | > What is the Jewish stand on sin?
Well, the concept of "original sin" is essentially a Christian one. The tale of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden has always been regarded by Jews along the lines of a mythos, an explanation of why Man had to work for a living. The serpent, for the Jews, was never Satan as Christian theology holds, simply "the most cunning of the beasts God had created." The Jewish concept of sin is simply disobeying God. For Jews to avoid sin, this means adherence to the Law as laid down in the Torah. It is interesting to note though, that the Jews never saw that Law as binding on Gentiles. For everyone but the Jews, they considered it was necessary only to acknowledge God as the true God and to refrain from murder and incest and crooked dealings. | Are you a sinner? |
| 49 | Yeah, sometimes people can go overboard with a legalistic approach. This was one of the things Jesus was objecting to about the Pharisees in his own time. | Are you a sinner? |
| 50 | Coffee would have to be it, though I only have 1-3 cups in the course of a day. Though I sometimes also go a month or more without any. | What is your favorite drink (excluding alcohol)? |
