151I don't think you're lazy, but maybe your s/o thinks it's a special casual meal to have from time to time, and not so often, so he/she therefore feels you're being lazy. I honestly don't see how it can be considered lazy when you still have to do the cooking, and there are probably other parts of the meal that can't be barbecued (e.g. salad or other dishes that aren't grilled), so you're still putting in the work. I love a barbecue in warmer weather, so why not have it 3 times a week! My guess is that your s/o just isn't into having barbecue for dinner so often. It shouldn't be an issue of you needing to make dinner preparation more difficult for yourself, and I don't think the meal is inadequate in any way.Am I lazy?
152I would say 70. I think once upon a time I would have said 60, but as my mom approaches that age, I have a very hard time thinking of her as elderly. I will likely re-evaluate my choice many times in the future... * raspberry * At what age does someone become "elderly"?
153On an open book, since I think it's the most unstable and the glass is most likely to fall over.Of these three options, which would be the last place you would rest a glass of water?
154Sure, just for the novelty of it and since you sound so friendly. What kind of thing would you like?If I asked nice and gave you my address would you send me something in the mail?
155Where I live now, the mosquitoes are large, vicious, numerous, are around 8 or 9 months of the year, and always go for me, giving me the largest, itchiest welts I've ever had due to a bug bite. Not all my windows have screens and those that due aren't very secure, so they reach infestation proportions early in the summer, and peter out gradually until winter. I also see the occasional roach and some very strange-looking bugs I've never seen before. Most seem pretty harmless.

The only mice I've ever had in my house were presents from my cats.
Which household pests have you had?
15630 digits is the most, but it's actually all the numbers I have to dial to call home with a prepaid long-distance calling card (access number, PIN and phone number). The longest single string of numbers is 16 for my credit card, with the 14 digits required for someone overseas to call me in second place. What is the longest personal number you have memorized?
157Perhaps you're thinking of "balut," which is apparently a delicacy in the Philippines (http://www.asiacuisine.com.sg/Nacws/1998/9/314/), although it is not pickled. I had never heard of this before, so I did my research. * raspberry * Do you like ketchup on your eggs?
158I had never heard of eating the unhatched contents of eggs before, and I was curious which country's cuisine included such a dish. Also, I'm just generally a very curious person (in every way that statement can be understood).Do you like ketchup on your eggs?
159"Curiously pleased"... that's very flattering. Thank you.Do you like ketchup on your eggs?
160The first thing you need to figure out is why dad said no. Then you can begin to address the issue. Is he grossed out by piercings? Is he concerned about potential safety risks? Does he simply think you're too young for that? If you want to convince then that you're old enough, try to persuade him in a mature fashion. Impress him with some carefully researched information about the procedure and related issues. It shouldn't be too much of an uphill battle since your mom agrees. Just don't pit them against each other and make the whole thing that much more uncomfortable.

And btw, don't you legally have to be at least 18 to get that kind of piercing? Or are you allowed to do it with your parents' consent? If you go to a place where you can do it while underage and without your parents' consent, please do be sure the place uses proper safety procedures (only new needles and jewelry, proper sterilization of equipment, etc.) I know you've heard all this before, but I had to say it just in case. And p.s. I got my first piercing (aside from my ears) when I was 17, but I didn't bother freaking my mom out because it's somewhere she'll never see. If you absolutely have to, wait until you're 18 (it's not so far away) and then you're free to do what you want with your own body. I trust your dad won't love you any less for it, and he'll get over it eventually.
I asked to get my belly button pierced for my 17th birthday. Mom said YES. Dad said NO. what should i do? How can i convince my parents that i am old enough?
