| 92 | Yes, money gives power and freedom, but only if money is what rules the world (as it does now). If people cared less about how much money you have in relation to how much money THEY have, then other sources of power and freedom must be searched for. Also, it depends on your view. Religion can give power and freedom if that's how you feel, as well as personal satisfaction. I, personally? I may not know for sure, but I think it's really a combination of these things. To indulge yourself ("personal satisfaction") you must have the means to ("money"), and there are a heck of a lot of people who turn their backs on religion when times get bad and the horizon is flat and devoid of hope. | Does money = power & freedom? |
