| 32 | It's a lot easier for my 12 month old daughter to say ba-ba than bottle. By saying (and teaching) her ba-ba, we can now effectively communicate with her. As she gets older and gets a better grasp of speaking, our language and communications will change with her. I've seen good kids come from (what I think are) bad parents and vice versa. I think you just need to try to do your best as you know how and then hope for the best. So I think all of the qualities above come into play, but even if you have them all doesn't mean you're going to be the perfect parent or raise the perfect child. | 39 | People are so quick to legislate our actions. Any time something happens, every one wants new legislation to ban it or make it safer. What happened to personal responsibility? Someone has an accident while talking on the cell phones - let's ban cell phone use in the car! Someone purchases a gun illegally and goes on a shooting spree - let's ban all guns! People that a so gung-ho about imposing new rules and legislating new laws don't realize how, little by little, our personal freedoms are being taken away. Pretty soon it's going to be - someone doesn't like that book? Let's ban all books! I don't get it. If people are stupid enough to try and touch a feeding shark, let them deal with the consequences.
