PC? Mac?
PC: Have your virus scanner options set to prompt you to take action when viruses are located on your computer. Then ,as the virus is scanned and identified, right click your Taskbar and Start area (bottom strip) and select Task Manager. On the Processes tab, locate the virus file that is "running", right click and select to have each "End Process" or "End Now". This will shut their process down. Then return to the virus scanner and select the action to delete them. (They're not attached to any files, like worms, they're actual .EXE programs running no your computer--very harmful, by the way.)

Here's some instructions to ridding viruses on your computer. It's a McAfee Website, but they provide instructions for people who have problems with any virus scanned by any application. You'll get rid of them with one of these methods for sure.Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!

Sure! I think--like Biggles--yours is either an .EXE (program) file, running in the background, or it's an email attachment that you've not really "saved" to your disk, so the application can't 'reach it' to delete it, only to identify it. That info might help you shortcut your way to your specific problem...Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!
Perfect! Now use your virus scanning program to manage your quarantined files. Once you reach that part of your program--for each file--it should further allow you to restore it (never), clean it (I wouldn't bother), or delete it (best option). In any case, at least those last two are in a place where they can do no harm. Good job, congrats!Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!

Now what would have been the harm in letting me take the credit for that? I did try ya know, but you had become unattainable one particular weekend as I recall. (Of course, since I was unattainable/unavailable/unresponsive/unalerting the entire rest of the time, I imagine for me to "take the credit" would surely have set things a bit unbalanced...sorry everyone.)Computer problems? 778Check your email! I sent one this morning! Don't give up on me, please! (Thanks again for that "God in In Control" story--what a story!)Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!
WHAT? Dabbs? We've spoke while I have been under this name! Quite a few times, in fact! (Is all okay?)Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!
In the same area (Internet Options, under Tools), click on the Advanced tab. Be sure that your Java options are all "on" and with the right "permissions". These options have a lot of good things to consider, by the way. You should read each and select your preferences. If you don't know what it's describing, it's probably best to leave it alone, but you might find some things you'd prefer to change...Computer problems? Together, let's fix 'em!
