1081Not that it is, but Endometriosis can be a cause of menstrual problems. Has your doctor ruled this out or even suggested it? What was the most serious illness you have suffered from?
1082That's right, a doctor will not do an exam when a women is still a virgin.
I was diagnosed from having a Laparoscopy through my belly button (I wonder if that's a possibility?)they had first thought I might have ovarian cysts. And I can't imagine why they refuse to do a blood test! Maybe get a second opinion?
My pain started during my cycle but now it's all the time. From what I have read it can be different for a lot of us. My pain has gotten worse as the years have gone by, was diagnosed in November of 2000. I have not been able to work due to when I stand or walk for sometimes even just 10 minutes I am in so much pain I have to sit or lay down. I am in the process of finding a doctor. I sure hope someone will find a way to help you for I know it's no fun being in pain!!!!!!!!

1083Hm I know I replied to you from your reply to me, for my first reply didn't go to you and this has happened a few times now...so what am I doing wrong * wry smile * What was the most serious illness you have suffered from?
1084I am unsure myself about the pelvic exam, tho I knew about a doctor not doing a pap for I think it's using the speculum and fear of breaking the membrane, also it might be to traumatic,I am not real sure. I know one of my sister's had an accident as a child and broke her membrane so there was no fear of that.
But the doc did an exam on you and didn't act like no big deal? I never really thought much on this just knew about some doctors who wont, but not sure how widespread? Good question!
What was the most serious illness you have suffered from?
1085Oh you weren't graphic at all! * smile * and your right. It makes me wonder then if a woman knows this, she would tell the doctor and there would be no problem there, it would seem anyway.
I am not sure how my sister found out hers wasn't intact, for she was pretty young and wouldn't have thought about it, so thinking my mother knew but still not sure how, maybe being examined after the accident geesh I just don't know *memory cap isn't working* * grin *
I am not real sure why doctors wont, that is the only 2 reasons, I am thinking they wouldn't.
I wonder if Biggles doc told her why?!?!?! *cupping hands around mouth, yelling* "Claire we need your help"!!!
What was the most serious illness you have suffered from?
1086You poor thing!!...I really don't understand why when if it is ok with the woman it should be ok with them in this regard...And some doctors really need to learn how to be more relaxed I think towards their patients, it doesn't make sense to me how a doctor could be uncomfortable talking to you about this hm strange, I mean I can be a shy person but in that type of element I would be thinking my patient comes first, and so would be their job to help you feel safe and secure...Ever seen a movie called 'Doctor' with William Hurt? He plays, well a doctor * laughing out loud * who believes strongly in not getting close to his patients. But then he is diagnosed with throat cancer and receives a wake up call! It's a very good movie.

When I was diagnosed I didn't care for the doctor who treated me and if I hadn't moved out of state I would have found another. She was just too clinical and so abrupt. I felt, I think as you do that it didn't matter to her what I had to say, she didn't want to hear it.

I really hope you can get yourself taken care of!!! Being in pain I guess I would think that would be a doctors first obligation to find a way to make you better.

If U.S. President George W. Bush were to hold a national press conference today and agreed to answer one question submitted by you, what would you ask?

Bush were to hold a national press conference today and agreed to answer one question submitted by you, what would you ask?
