A job, obviously, is a large and integral part of one's life. Since my job is that of a stripper, I sometimes lie about it in order to avoid awkward or potentially dangerous situations. I always feel terrible when I am forced to pretend to be someone I am not, or more accurately, pretend not to be someone I am. Although I am not the least bit ashamed of what I do, I get a flushed, flustered feeling when I am in the process of lying. Opression feels yucky. On the other hand, I commonly lie to customers about my age, height (you'd think I wouldn't be able to fool them on that one, but...), past, etcetera and feel absolutely nothing. No remorse, nothing.Have you ever deliberately lied....
Just because people have the power to destroy people and places doesn't mean they have the good sense that should go along with that power. **To those of you who don't fear nuclear war because you feel that you will die quickly and painlessly: Have you considered what the effects would be on the billions of people that also live here, not to mention the plants and animals? Your descendants?Do you worry about the possibility of a nuclear war?
I took a humanities class entitled, "The Roots of Hell" in my first year of college. We examined the various depictions of hell of various religions around the globe. Some religions have very creative ideas when compared with Christianity. ***** Disclaimer: I am not suggesting that Christianity or any other religion is based on an invented theory.Which of the following have you read (or read parts of)?
This should be decided on a case-by-case basis. If a child commits a heinous crime but doesn't seem to comprehend the gravity of the results of that crime, what does one do? Does it really make a difference whether the kid is 12 or the kid is 13? How can a general-purpose line like that be drawn? At what age should people begin to be treated as an adult in the Court System for crimes?
Space is so vast; it would be extremely vain of us to believe that we are IT.Do you believe that there is life on other planets?
If I were Dorothy, I would never have gone back to that God-forsaken farm!! She should have stayed in the fairy tale fantasy world of Oz. Talking tin men! Flying monkeys! All those adorable little munchkins that adored her!If you were a character from The Wizard of Oz, which would you be?
My favorite teenage reference was "toads." Now mom's just, "that crazy woman." The father is just that: "the father."Which of these have you used in the past, or use now to refer to your parents? If you changed terms over time, indicate in comment.
The majority of Americans are obese. Burger King-based diets are commonplace. Fingering the keyboard and stepping on the gas pedal are the most practiced forms of exercise. Why must people choose to criticize other people who, rather than let their bodies deteriorate into a near state of entropy, take an active interest in their bodies and their health? Whether or not you find them attractive, they are acting more responsibly towards themselves (steroid users excluded) than most.Female Bodybuilders
Anyone that has ever lived or worked with me knows that PMS, like their fear of me, is VERY, VERY real! PMS
I have been known to call a man "dog" during a argument or when talking about a man. Try it sometime. It's a real attention-getter. **Benevelent Magus: I agree that no one is using these terms to intentionally offend someone, but it is a reflexion of the offensive way women have been treated since the development of the English language. How do you feel about masculine words being used to describe both women and men. (e.g. "Guys", "man", "mankind", etc...)
