It's expensive, but worth it!Would you give up your right to vote on federal issues in exchange for your federal tax burden? Assume you still can participate in state and local elections and referendums.
Presuming I would have a reasonably quality of life, I would prefer to be immortal! There's just so much to do and so little time to do it, as a mortal. If you were given the opportunity to somehow become immortal (you will never die, you will live on forever - nothing can kill you), would you do it?
I didn't know ice cream trucks were being banned from residential neighborhoods. I have no problem telling my kids when they can and cannot have treats, including when there's an ice cream truck nearby. However, it is unsolicited sales encroaching my home (well, neighborhood). Is this legislation we are talking about here? If so, I would say no, it ought not be legislated.Do you agree with the current trend to ban ice cream trucks from residential neighborhoods?
For a while I made a point of flying (hang glider) on my birthday. I broke that tradition last year, and probably will not fly again this year. *sigh* There's always next year, though! On my birthday...
It all depends on the particular foot. Some are ugly, some are beautiful, some just are.Do you think human feet are ugly?
Much less than the "Year 2000 Problem" pundits would have us believe. What do you think will happen on January 1, 2000?
At the moment, the money is highest of the three. If I put the kids into public school in a few years, I might prefer one of the other two options (need more $$ with two kids in private school). If given an option between a raise in salary, shorter working hours (for the same weekly pay), or more paid vacation which would you choose?
The times when I've had a decision to make that profoundly affected my life, I have generally recognized it as such, so it didn't "seem trivial." And, yes, I am a big Douglas Adams fan, too!

jzp: Great flick, that (The Princess Bride)! "Inconceivable!" "You keep using that word. I donnot thin' it means what you thin' it means." ... "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to Die!"

Is there one "seemingly trivial" decision you made in your life that profoundly affected it?
Atzilut: at least it's not an ergotic computer!Ergonomic computer equipment... What ergonomic computer equipment do you use/have you used?
We are the only creatures that are conscious of our own mortality (at least, so far as we can tell). I suspect our beliefs in there being something after death are our way of (not) dealing with this mortality. I don't believe there will be any existence for me after I die. As such, I try to make the best of the time I have, and try to help contribute to others' lives as well. I can't say I fear or don't fear death, but I would like to put it off for as long as possible! What do you think it is like after death?
