We are a one income family. No matter how much my hub makes, it's enough. If we have a place to live and food, good enough. | Do you feel comfortable with the amount of money you make or have?
When uncaring, insensitive people treat innocent people like crap, they deserve to be griped about. They ask for it. I think griping relieves stress of being treated unfairly. It also helps people be more aware how their behavior might be hurting other people. Some might hear a legitimate gripe and say "Hey, I do that to people!" and they might change their ways or know they need to do something different. Griping changes people. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Anyway--the complaints I have are gossipy people who treat me bad based on assumptions and hearing or making up gossip (to feel better about their own selves). More like rumors since they are so not true. Also someone who intrudes upon my time with my family thinking she has the right, and imposes on our special days to spend together. | What gives you the right to complain?
Someone sat in my booth once when I got up to put a token in my son's ride. My hubby and daughter were still sitting there, but as soon as I stood up she sat there, when I turned around and saw her, I just had hub scootch over and sat by him, then took my plate from where it was and started eating, without saying a word. She looked like she was doing it to start trouble. She looked down where the plate was, looked back up at me and made some comment to her friend "MY son don't need no help with a ride". I'd never seen this person before in my life. | What gives you the right to complain?
She seemed like she would jump at the opportunity to want to fight even if I was nice about it. He friend was sitting in the next booth over so they were sort-of side by side, know what I mean? I didn't respond to her at all and eventually she left. This was at Chuck-E-Cheese. I didn't want to say anything, have her cause a scene in front of a bunch of kids. Some people are mentally ill. That's why I shrugged it off later. | What gives you the right to complain?
Yep, there are a lot of inherited ones and some are very complex. | What gives you the right to complain?
Oh! So do I!! I feel like it's a waste of my time to explain to adults that they are behaving inconsiderately. Grown people should KNOW how to be aware if they may be bothering others. Some things are so blatantly obvious, yet a smack upside the head and "Knock it off!!!!!!!!!!!" would still make them go "Huh? What's HER malfunction???" Even if you say to some people "What you are doing is bothering me", they'd need an explanation to understand why you are being bothered. I left a note on my door on a Sunday afternoon that said "Do not disturb" and I haven't been disturbed since. I guess they didn't want an explanation. Which is good, because I don't like giving them. | What gives you the right to complain?
I think part of learning to be considerate involves thinking about what other people might be burdened by or what they want to do in their time, etc. I think maybe a lot of people just never learned consideration. Even ones who went to public schools their whole childhood. | What gives you the right to complain?
rofl Now that I think about it, the most inconsiderate ones are also the most selfish and me me me oriented. They also went to public schools. I guess socializing doesn't teach much on being considerate of others feelings. I mean, thinking back, the kids who were the most social in school were also the meanest and most snobby, weren't they? Gosh, the kids I know who graduated homeschooling are so sweet and nice to others--and very considerate. *scratching head* | What gives you the right to complain?
Becca follows Danny around, too. When Danny first gets home from school and starts doing homework, Becca goes to the table and wants homework, so I give her old school papers to doodle on. She has her own backpack and work folder, too. By the way, today was the Smarty Party. I can't wait til Danny comes home telling me about going to see his new class at the other school. | What gives you the right to complain?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | If you had a school aged child that had no desire to socialize, would you feel the need to intervene?
