51I'm not sure what this definition you describe really means. Are you complaining that some people say capitalism when they mean facism?

I was referring to capitalism - entities (I had individuals in mind) leveraging resale of their services and resources to greatest personal advantage. Huge families do that on the streets of Mumbai and Delhi, and their lives are no better, and families no smaller. More kids means more free employees. I think Africa has the same ideology. A technical college educated society seems less likely to have kids, but could just as well be communist.

It wasn't 'access' to birth control I referred to. I'm sure the Kennedy's, Roosevelts, and Rockefellers could have gotten their hands on a functional sheep intestine condom if they wanted.

If you are wondering about how people define 'capitalism' who are opposed to it, it's not generally about individuals or facism at all, but about the ideology of self-interested leveraged competition. China keeps that under control. There aren't 12 different types of cell phone charging cables, just the the USB standard. That's why they are emerging so quickly, they restrict capitalism to where it has a distinct national advantage, and not where it leads to needless duplicity and internal competiton.
How do you think we should combat over-population?
52It makes sense, top down merging with bottom up, a simultaneous concern for individual liberty and the nation as a whole. We are in an age of communications now that makes that possible. Central control in the old USSR days meant that a sea shanty had to serve the same hamburgers as everyone else. Diverse bottom-up feedback would have been unmanageable then.

If I saw this as a world economic war, I'd say this would be deadly for us, except that we're negotiating for this model to work out synergistically for both of us. It's doing nothing to lesson our co-dependance though. Between production, management, and finance, at least one of those has to be coming from here or we've lost a stake in our lives.

China's model is becoming like the one I'd been describing here for years, in which democracy votes on what is to be done nationally (suggested by visionaries), entrepreneurial managers step up to the plate to fill those roles, the applicants are chosen democratically, then backed with socialist funding. It requires a lot of centrally organized communication tendrils.

55Oh frick, I forgot I might have to have an answer for this when I created it. Where's the 'other' option? Can't we negotiate?

Under the circumstances, with an attitude like that, and only these two options, I'll have to go with war. You may not probe our cat. I'd probably wait to see if they actually siege the planet first though before doing anything more than preparations.

60A theoretical cat; mostly Russian Blue with a bit of Burmese. Very heavy, somewhat aged. Lives in a library of rare ancient engineering, sea faring, and herbal medicine manuscripts with a silver/blue haired old woman. The question is more one of war out of principle.Space aliens have demanded Bartholomew the cat...
