By what I have said formerly, does not mean I am a woman with no spunk. Just ask my husband of nearly 40 years! He will tell you I am a woman with plenty of spunk! But, I know in my heart and by what the Bible says, that a woman is to be submissive and the man to be the head. Why do you think God, in his wisdom, said this? A woman being submissive is not a bad thing. It does not mean she can't say anything or do anything. As far as a man being the headship, this is very sensible. There can only really be one head to a body, the family being the body. God appointed man to be the head of the family. | 262 | When I state what my belief's are, they are mine. I am not trying to impose my belief's on another. I still maintain that women do not belong in the military for all the many reasons stated. I think women are, especially in the war zone, a threat to men's safety. Many of you young people, born around the late sixties, seventies? If you want to classify me with the labels you stated, so be it. I would label myself, politically (according to my understanding) in the middle and a little to the right. I am a conservative. Remember folks, God's laws don't change, it's people that change. It appears many of you have been indoctrinated, brainwashed by the liberal school/media system. I don't fault you, you know no different. | 264 | I am not trying to use the "age card" on anyone. I guess I am a bit "old fashioned." Let's face it folks, men and women are not equal on all things. Where one may be stronger in one area of things, the other is weaker, and vis-a-vis. This is what I call men and women being complementary to one another. Men are naturally stronger physically than women. No way can you skirt that issue, same as there is no way you are going to change who has the babies, women do. What have I "spouted" that is so wrong? Let us have a dialogue. There is definitely scripture that says that women are to be submissive. The Bible's principles are never outgrown. It is how people understand them. Some people have real hangups about this word. There is also scripture that a woman's body belongs to her husband and visa versa. We should equally give sexually to our mates. Oops! Did I say something wrong? The problem, in many of todays churches, they are not feeding their flock the meat of the Word, just a little milk. I don't claim to be a Bible scholar, but some things are pretty clear. In today's world, there seems to be a rebellion against the scriptures. The Bible never changes, only people do. Want me to be up front with you folks? I haven't been to church in many years. I miss going to church for many reasons. I went to church all the time as a child and teen. Unfortunately, after I married, I have not attended like I should. I had four children in five years and I guess I just slowed down and didn't do what I was supposed to do. I encouraged my children to learn God's Word, the same as my father told me. My father taught me to be sure and teach your children God's Word, it is imperative, it is my responsibility. I, unfortunately, failed my children and didn't go to church with them. They went to church by themselves and were baptized. It is nice to be around people who believe in God. Even though, I didn't take my children to church, my children, all turned out to be wonderful people. They go to church on their own. They are learning God's word on their own, teaching their own children. I often tell my husband, that God gave us wonderful spirits in our children. I do study the Bible often. I study with a pastor from Arkansas and there are two others I study with. I am always searching the Word.I want to know the Word, breathe it. It's funny when you are young you really don't understand the gravity of God's Word, and as you age, you want to take it all in. Now getting back to the subject, I still think women have no place in the military! I get along very well with the people in my personal life. I have a wonderful family and friends who love me. We have a difference of opinion at times, but we never stay angry, we leave each other on a good note. They know where I stand on many issues, but we respectfully agree to disagree. | 266 | I have difficulty with high pitch noises that appliances, i.e. television, typewriters, refrigerators give off. I have had to return each of these appliances because of a high pitch noise. The repair man said I can hear sounds that only a small percentage of people can hear. The sound barriers on these appliances were not strong enough. I now try to ignore some of these sounds in other appliances. I have sensitive hearing which at times can be good and other times it can be aggravating. | Is there a sound you cannot stand hearing? |
