171Brian: The obvious reasons are: The older person can't physically keep up with the younger person. Of course, it depends on the age group. The younger person more than likely will associate with younger people. The younger person may want children and the older one can't. I think anytime an older person marries a younger person it is for the reasons above, they want to feel young. The reason a younger person would marry an older person is for security/money. This is not a good reason to marry. I'm not saying that older people aren't lovable, because they are, but let's be practical. I'm sorry if I'm not making my point well, but I'm just stating my opinion.Do you believe that your society generally looks down on relationships where the woman is considerably older than the man?
172Brian: I'm sorry you are disappointed in my response. But, I am an extremely practical person and likes to use some common sense. When people marry the extreme opposite, I feel there are other underlying reasons, other than what marriage should be, for marrying the extreme opposite. Why make complications in a marriage? Marriage can be difficult, why make it any harder? If you want to marry for life, which I suspect you would like to, marry someone who is more like yourself. Don't complicate your life Brian. Do you believe that your society generally looks down on relationships where the woman is considerably older than the man?
173Brian: A 10 year difference is not unreasonable, but each year a person learns something new to their life experience. When I say marry like yourself, I mean, age and the same interests, the same values, same background. Believe me Brian, they count. For the long haul, having the same interests, background and values COUNT! This is just a few examples of why you should marry someone like yourself. Don't complicate your life Brian, don't complicate someone else's life, go for the long haul. You will make a happier home for your children.Do you believe that your society generally looks down on relationships where the woman is considerably older than the man?
174I, personally, do not wish to fill out the census form. My husband says he will send it in. I resent the invasion of my privacy. I feel they ask questions that are not necessary. Several years ago I refused to send my form in and they sent a person from the Census Bureau to take my census personally. I DON'T LIKE IT. IT IS AN INVASION OF MY PRIVACY. I don't know if this is a long form or a short form. It appears they ask different questions in different areas. The questions are all about what race I am and the other occupants in my home. It asks me about everyone in my household and what race they are. I feel the government has an ulterior motive for asking these questions. What they are doing, in essence, is REGISTERING people.

The last census, which was several years ago, asked questions such as, how many rooms in my house, how many toilets, all these off the wall things. This census is only about race. I thought the census was just counting heads, anymore, I guess not. I say these census' are not in my or anyone's best interest.

I have been told that there is a $100 fine if you don't send it in. What kind of questions do the short form ask? What kind of questions are they asking in the long form? I smell a rat folks.
U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
175I would like to know, why at the same address, do they (the census) ask me the questions they have? The last census, as I have stated, was evidently a long form that asked me ridiculous questions. This time, they sent the short form, asking for only the number of people and the race of the people in my household. As someone stated the ORIGiNAL purpose was just to count heads, I don't think, today, the purpose is the same. U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
176Bill: Thank you for your explanation of the long form (which I had several years ago and disliked intensely).

Drdt: I understand what you are saying, but I smell a rat with the questions the government is asking.

Kristal Rose: By the way, I like your name, very feminine. Your comments about the social engineers and tax designers pretty much sums it all up. In my opinion, I think the government is walking on thin ice when they try to change people to a secular way of thinking. I think our government is truly saturated with subversives and are trying so hard to socially engineer people, which they have succeeded in doing in the last 40 years. They are also trying to drain the fruits of our labor through taxation.

I like your comment about angels.

Some call it paranoia, I say be alert folks.

U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
177Thank you for your comments. I know, to many of you, our government's intrusion into our lives means nothing to you. However, the government's intrusion of our privacy to many of us, is important, it is not a joke. Our government has grown toooooooo big and intrusive.

Thank you for the introduction to Kristal. Sounds like many of you know Kristal Rose.

These questions are for Kristal Rose,(I like that name)Sue Bee, Twistermine and They: How many of you went to college or to a university? What was your major? Were you born in the 60's or 70's? What kind of careers do you have? What is your nationality? Are you a democrat or a republican? Are you married or single? Are you a conservative or liberal? In what area of the country do you live? Do you own your own home or do you rent? Is anyone willing to answer these questions for me? I BET NOT. I bet if you answer you won't give me the right answer. Now girls, be up front and answer these questions, or do you feel they are an invasion of your privacy?
U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
178Kristal Rose: No, my dear, I have not been scared off. There are times I just take a break from the computer.

I thank you for your information. Actually the information you gave me is what I expected, many of you are young, naive, educated and liberal. We all have the right to our opinions, let us hope we can, in this country, keep those rights. I feel the government has grown too large and are imposing. Do not trust an imposing government.

U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
179Kristal Rose: You are a very intelligent person, but let's not make it easier for the government to take anymore rights away from us than they already have. My dear, when I made an inference to many of you being naive, I mean innocent. Also, can you please tell me what you mean squareframe glasses and a desk job in a blue suit, short bushy straw over gray? I don't understand.

SueBee: As I have stated in other surveys, generally speaking, most of you, as I surmised, are in the 1960's age group, except Brian. I still can't believe that Brian is just 18 years old. As far as, as the educated, many of you have been educated in the very liberal college system that has an agenda that, I believe, is not in the best interests of people. This is in regards to my statement about being naive. It is possible you will become conservative as you age, however, I have always been conservative, even as a young woman. I was never liberal.

U.S. Census: Did you receive a long or short form?
180Matt: Many years ago, in the communist manifesto (according to a book by Herbert Filbrick, spy and counterspy) they said the communists would infiltrate the educational system and have to "change the minds" of one generation of youth,(I call it brainwashing)in order for them to complete their agenda, which is take over (destroy our country). They must destroy us economically, also take our personal defenses away from us such as gun control. They have infiltrated the entertainment industry. They have infiltrated our government.

Kristal Rose: In saying what you have said, the government knows everything about us, I ask, then why the census? Why add to their arsenal? THEY DON'T KNOW OUR EVERY MOVE, this is what they want to know. The intent of the census should be to count heads only!
