| 11 | Emphatically YES!!!! I feel people should have the right to bear arms!Who will protect us from our protector? Police cannot be available for every citizen. It is a God given right that we should be able to protect ourselves. Recently, a Vermont Rep. proposed a bill that all citizens own guns, and those that do not own one are fined $500.00. I think that is a good idea. What is wrong with a good citizen owning a gun? Nothing. Enforce the laws to punish those people who use a gun in crime. Why is the government really wanting to take our guns away? Why are'nt they trying to stop the drugs from penetrating our society? That is what should be stopped, and if the government really wanted that stopped, they could do it. Drugs are killing our people. People should be held responsible for their children getting into the guns at home. Be responsible. Whatever happened to individual responsibility? I was raised around guns and instructed about them. We have had guns for years, and years, and my children were taught responsibility and safety courses on handling guns. We've never had problems. Of course, there are going to be people that are irresponsible, but why should we be punished for those IDIOTS that don't take care of their guns and teach their children good behavior. I think if the government wants to do something responsible, they should make it mandatory to have all citizens bear arms, have them, along with their families, trained in gun safety. It appears the government is wanting to do the opposite. This smacks of something that is unhealthy for the citizens of our country. One of the last steps to total tyranny is confiscation of firearms. | 12 | I agree with you on your statement about England and Australia. I saw a documentary about the confiscation of firearms in England and Australia. Some people said if they had it to do over, they would have never given up their arms voluntarily, some said they have theirs hidden and the government will never get them. The evil ones will have a free hand at crime, if the good citizens are disarmed. I met a woman, from Peru, a few years ago, and she stated that "home invasions" are prevalent in her country because the people don't have any self protection,i.e. guns. The thugs, gangsters just break in the houses and steal, kill or whatever, and the innocent people have no way to defend themselves. | 13 | No! Men and women cannot be 'friends.' I feel that either one of the parties have an "interest" in the other in order for them to have a friendship. My daughter had a friend (male) who she has known since high school. My daughter has always thought of this fellow as a friend (on the surface). However, this fellow "loved her" and admitted it many years later, even wanted to marry her. I think my daughter always knew, but she always called him, her "Bud." This young man, up until she married, asked her to marry him. Even when he got married, he talked to my daughter about it. They were confidants. I told my daughter later, that it is important to be confidants to the one you marry. My big mistake was discourage her from getting involved with this young fellow because he was involved with the music industry. I thought "no show business" people in the family. The fellow turned to be a multi-millionaire and wasn't in the type of music business I thought. He has several companies having to do with music, he himself is not in show business. He unfortunately married a woman who "took him for a ride." Even though my daughter and he are both divorced from others, I know nothing will ever come of their "friendship." Too bad, because he is a good guy, a dedicated person to the one he loves. They are still good friends. It's too bad they or should I say, my daughter, couldn't have recognized that their friendship was really a love. This also, in layman's terms, the reason I am against intermarriage, Read the Book. If you won't accept God's Words in the Bible, read an earthly man's words in the book "The Final Battle." The globalists, Satan's children are working for the one world order, they want to destroy God's chosen children. This nation has been blessed because it's people were Christians and followed God's laws. However, it cannot survive when ungodly people come to this country with false religions and try to destroy the country. The globalists will worship Satan when he comes and calls himself the Messiah. | 17 | Yes, I believe so. I think the people involved have to be mature people. I knew a couple who had known each other only 6 days and then married. The last time I saw them, they had been married 32 years and very happily. I knew their daughter, who was a wonderful girl and she married a fellow, with whom she was madly in love with. She had good examples set for her in her parents. Her parents were like newlyweds. She said she knew the moment she met her husband, he was for her. | Do you believe in love at first sight? |
| 18 | None of us know what it is to put our life on the line every time we go into the field. I respect my police. They are only trying to do their jobs. They are to be our protectors, but too many restraints by the ACLU and other idiots, that has made their jobs harder. It takes a lot of guts for either a man or woman to even want to be an officer now days. We have so many subversives in and out of our government that are constantly trying to tear down law and order, and the moral fiber in this country. Unfortunately, I think the police are going to become very hardened, and understandably so. The subversives are setting the stage for disaster for all peoples. My heart goes out to the police. | 19 | Gambling can become a sickness. Gambling online makes it too easy for those that may have a problem. I knew of a young man many years ago, that was in little league with my sons and HE HAD A PROBLEM WITH GAMBLING. He had a lovely wife and three children. He was destroying their lives. I talked to his wife once about her husband's gambling. He actually had a "bookie" he kept in contact with every day. He put their home in hock. He truly had an illness. He grew up with gambling. From the last I heard, she was possibly going to leave him. They moved away, I don't know what happened to them. Whenever we were at a game, this fellow would kiddingly (yet not kidding) bet on the games with the other teams. He was a sweet fellow, but he had the gambling sickness. He was gambling away the family finances, their home, their paychecks. I, personally, cannot stand gambling. I once went to Las Vegas with a friend and her mother (who was wealthy, she brought $150,000 with her, this was just loose change to her). They gambled, I watched at times and I cringed at watching people throw their money away. I never saw but one person with a smile on their face. In the four days I was in Las Vegas, I spent $3.75 on gambling. I saw a couple shows, and watched my friends gamble. Sometimes I stayed in the room, while they went out to the casinos. I once went to Tahoe with my husband and spent $20.00 on gambling and came back with my $20.00, plus $6.00 in silver dollars for the children. I have been told I am frugal.
