| 11 | Sorry, I'm don't consider myself a violent man.
My response: No one. | If you had the chance to kill one person, without being punished, who would be your target? |
| 12 | It depends on who he would be running against. If he were running against John Kerry again, yeah I'd vote for him. | Third term? |
| 13 | I'm a Libertarian. Quite frankly, I voted for Bush because I knew he would appoint right-of-center justices to the Supreme Court, and I figured there would two or three vacancies to fill during this four-year term. I believe strongly that the role of the judiciary should be minimal, and I'm sick of the left trying to legislate through the courts. That's your short answer.
Don't get me wrong. I will not defend a lot of Bush's policies. I hate the Patriot Act. I find it absurd that we are trying to set up a democracy in a Muslim country. I could go on, but for brevity, I won't. However, I saw nothing in John Kerry that suggested he would be any more capable than Bush. The theme of his campaign was, "I'm not Bush. Vote for me." I realize that was good enough for some. It's not good enough for me. I see Kerry as a pompous New England liberal. He thinks he knows what is best for other people. That's a faulty assumption. He's out of touch with my values, and I can't vote for him in good conscience. | Third term? |
| 14 | Libertarians are right-of-center. That is why I generally prefer right-of-center justices, although I don't agree with the right wing of the Supreme Court in all cases.
On social issues, Libertarians tend to be more liberal. For example, I am pro-choice because I don't believe the government should be allowed to regulate abortion. However, I also think Roe vs. Wade should be overturned. I don't believe the Constitution guarantees a right to abortion. Such a philosophy would probably be described as judicial minimalism. Frankly, I'm not certain anyone currently on the Supreme Court would share my world view, not even those on the right. We'll see what kind of judge Roberts is. You never know until he actually gets to work. Nominees tend to dodge questions during the confirmation process, and it's hard to blame them for doing so. | Third term? |
| 15 | The Constitution does not guarantee a right to breathe, a right to drive or a right to abortion. It neither guarantees nor prohibits in any of those cases. To me, abortion is a legislative matter. I would like my representatives in Congress to vote pro-choice, if it came down to that. However, I believe it is wrong that abortion is legal in this country by judicial fiat instead of popular will. | Third term? |
| 16 | They're not really psychic. They just play one on TV. | Explain why you think psychics don't win lotteries. |
| 17 | I think Bush is an OK president. God knows he's far from perfect, but I still voted for him because I disagree with John Kerry on practically every issue known to man.
No, Bush should not be impeached, and Clinton shouldn't have been either. | Should George W. Bush be impeached? |
| 18 | I love South Park, but I didn't think that was one of the better episodes. I wasn't offended or anything. I just found it to be stupid. | Have you seen the South Park episode "The Passion of the Jew"? Did you like it? |
| 19 | Sneakers out in public. At home, I like to walk around in my socks. | What kind of shoes do you like wearing best? |
| 20 | I voted for the "holes in the heels" option, but I often get holes in them on the ball of my foot, for some reason. | When do you replace your socks? |
