172I think the majority of police officers are doing the best they can in a crappy situation. What do you generally think of policeman/women in your own particular area ?
173My strategy is to buy the best system I can get for around twelve hundred dollars and then using it until the apps I NEED don't run on it any more. I then salvage any pieces that I want to keep--zip up my drive and give the thing to one of my nieces or nephews and pay another $1200 for the best system available for that price.

This buying schedule works out to about $400-$600 per year which is pretty reasonable. I end up with a system that is not cutting edge but keeps up with the specs required of cutting edge software. It generally takes a year or two for software manufacturers to require hardware I don't have.

174This impeachment is a farce that has more to do with the "prestige" of the GOP rather than any legitimate expectation that Clinton deserves it. Clinton does a good job as president and still has the respect of other nations, why should we get rid of him. Name me a single politician, including Eisenhower, that did not philander or lie.Do you think the President should be impeached?
175The Mayan cycle of millenia runs out some time 20 or thirty years from now. The Chinese and Hebrew millenia are a long way away. The Unix deadline is also coming up within the next ten or fifteen years (the point where they will run out of seconds for the delightful machines). There's probably a millennial event that's passing right now in fact.

When does the next Millennium begin?
176We will run out of fossil fuels, yet develop cold fusion.

Books will no longer be written on paper.

There will have been at least one plague that wiped out as many as a third of all humans.
As we approach the Millennium, which of these points do you think will have been achieved/happened at the end of the next Millennium (2999)
177Pot takes away a person's desire to excel. If an adult chooses to do pot then that is their decision as an adult, it is the job of a parent to create limits for a child.Would you punish your kid for smoking pot?
