131Kingmaker, Junta, Panzer General, Squad Leader, Steel Panthers, Gettysburg, Empires at Arms, Rairoad Tycoon, Diplomacy, Soldiers at War, Birthright, Axis and Allies, Colonial Conquest, Western Front, Carriers at Sea...you can stop me when the geek meter has reached it's maximum.Which, if any, of the following strategy games do you play?
132Today
Which day of the year do you enjoy most ?
133No one is markedly superior to me. (I don't consider greater wealth to be a sign of greater worth.)Do you hate people who are markedly superior to you in some way?
134topper--Good question. Newton actually used his position as head of one or more British scientific societies to pressure his peers into giving him sole credit for inventing calculus. It turns out that there was at least on other person that had as much to do with the discovery of derivatives and integrals.

There is still no question that Newton was brilliant.

A similar argument could be made about Edison and many other famous personages.
Glenn Hoddle, football manager of England has been sacked for suggesting that disabled people were being punished for sins in their previous life. He said " the karma was working in another lifetime." Do you think there is some truth in this statement ?
135In science you don't have to be right to be brilliant. You do have to be smart enough to think of things that the scientific establishment wishes it thought of first.

Also I just realized that my previous statement in no way addressed toppers comment. What I meant to say is that a talent for self promotion and ruthless competitiveness can give one credit for being brilliant but there still has to be something there. While I'm sure that the nameless contemporary that independently discovered calculus was brilliant, he was not and is not known as being brilliant. The two things are somewhat different propositions.

136You left out graduating high school or college and being laid off, fired, quit etc.Has your life undergone any of these significant changes in the past year?
137A lot of it depends on whether or not one is aware of the one who is dying. There are regular people all over the world who are dying for the lack of my economic intervention. I would be a hypocrite to say I would spend large portions of my net worth to save people's live when I don't. However I do donate blood, time and a small part of my income to various charitable causes, and I like to think that I would be generous if I were aware of a particular person who needed my aid. Despite this I am willing to perpetuate my own blissful ignorance to a certain extent. How much is a life worth?
138So how long have you been beating your wife and when did you start having sex with animals? (I just figured you might want another loaded question for your survey.)Why are MOST users of Survey Central so damn critical of one another?
139Provided I had gravity, air, water, food, power and communications I would like to live in orbit. Other than your current country of residence, where do you think you'd most like to live?
140Meteor strikes are something that could kill me but I don't spend much time worrying about it since I have no control. It's in the same category as lightning strikes and lottery wins, possible but not likely. It is more likely I will die in an auto accident and I drive every day without thinking about that. Nothing like a good healthy dose of denial. After the release of films like Deep Impact and Armageddon, are you scared, weary or dubious of meteorites causing havoc in your life time ?
