| 21 | I think the last concert I went to was Kiss with Ted Nugent in St. Louis. It's been at least 3 years though.
KISS ROCKS!!! | Have you been to any concerts in the past few years? |
| 22 | Can any other country? Especially a Muslim country, if they act like morons over a stupid cartoon?
Does anybody really believe you can negotiate peace with loons who will riot & kill over cartoons? | Can the United States afford to go 20 years or more without a war? |
| 23 | > No, the USA is a violent, hypocritical nation that can't embrace lasting
> peace. They thrive on making "bad guys" of someone because they're > a country of self-righteous, violent $#!theads. So, Saddam was a good guy, we just spun things to make him look bad? And we're self-righteous because we told him it was wrong to treat people the way he did? We aren't so violent that we'll riot, kill people, kidnap & otherwise cause mayhem over stupid cartoons! Just trying to put things in perspective. | Can the United States afford to go 20 years or more without a war? |
| 24 | "Saddam and Osama bin Laden were never in cahoots! "
I never said they were. I was referring to the way he treated the citizens of his country. That was real torture, unlike the nonsense at Guantanamo Bay where they shine lights in their eyes. Try having a sharp hose put up the rear with spikes on it. Just a small snippet of what I saw from one of his victims on the History Channel. Check this out: www.theotheriraq.com "Exactly! Why aren't we ending slavery all over the world? Huh? Why aren't we getting all up in everyone's business? Because it doesn't necessarily serve US interests. We aren't noble. We're self-serving bullies." Well, it just sounds like you have more anger for the US than you would for someone like Osama or Saddam. Both are sadistic bastards, so much so that their own families disowned them. At least you aren't one of these hypocritical liberals who only care about human rights when it serves your purpose. The only reason they're against ridding the world of Saddam is because their hatred for Bush is more important to them than the human rights of the Iraqi people. "Do you not recall all the riots that we've had in the United States?" Civil rights riots, sure. That was justified. I'm assuming you refer to the Rodney King riots. At least that ended after a few days. The Muslims are still proving the cartoons right by rioting. "We spin EVERYTHING to make our enemies look bad. We're the worst liars of all because we lie to ourselves." Wow, so you're saying Saddam Hussein is more trustworthy than Bush, Condi, Clinton, etc? Holy crap! | Can the United States afford to go 20 years or more without a war? |
| 25 | "The cartoon is merely the latest in a series of anti-Islamic rhetoric that has become more and more prevelant in recent years"
Gee, I wonder why there's anti-Islamic rhetoric with all the killing done in the name of Islam lately. Christians are constantly mocked, yet you don't see us out killing people because of it. We realize that stuff like the "Jesus Piss" art & the Virgin Mary smeared with poo are just one person's opinion & created in the name of free speech. We can boycott, but we don't riot, kill, kidnap & cause moronic mayhem acting like a bunch of idiotic brutes over it. The Muslims need to act like civilized adults instead of a bunch of toddlers having a temper tantrum. Otherwise, they're only bringing more anger & hatred on themselves & no one will take them seriously. And, don't tell me Christians aren't mocked. You do it yourself. | Can the United States afford to go 20 years or more without a war? |
| 26 | "Your just justifying barbarism here."
I don't see how. Is it torture when you go to the doctor & he shines the light in your eyes? I'm not the one who had a problem getting rid of Saddam Hussein, MASTER TORTURER! What would you call allowing his sons to rape women just because they were in the mood? One woman was raped on her wedding day & killed herself because of it. Yet, we were supposed to let that treatment continue because Jacque Chirac & Gerhard Schroeder loved Saddam? Who's justifying barbarism? It certainly isn't me. I find it a little hypocritical that liberals give lipservice to "human rights" when it serves their purpose. But when it comes to the people of Iraq, they could give a damn. "> Check this out: www.theotheriraq.com Nah, that's okay. I know Iraq isn't a vacation hot spot... I'm saying that the USA is no better than Iraq for its crimes." Nice way to keep an open mind! "And Bush isn't a sadistic bastard because his family hasn't disowned him?" No, Bush isn't a sadistic bastard because he hasn't allowed REAL torture to go ahead unabated. Have you even heard any of the accounts from the people of Iraq? Do you even care? Or again, are you too afraid to have your beliefs challenged. Are you afraid to think for yourself? Do you even know that many people in Iraq considered Saddam himself alone to be a WMD? I heard one man who escaped from Iraq say that himself. But, I guess his opinion shouldn't matter. After all, he was only tortured with hoses, & needles. But why should you care? It doesn't fit your template of "Bush is the most evil one." It challenges you & that scares you. "It wasn't our place to unseat him from power. That should've been up to the global community to decide." Now, who's the one justifying barbarism & brutality? Yeah, it would've been great if France, Germany & Russia would've been all for the Saddam ouster. Unfortunately, they were being paid off by him through the Oil for Food Program. Nothing better to justify barbaric torture than getting your pockets lined with lots & lots of money! BTW, does that mean we were wrong in getting rid of Hitler too? We weren't in that "global community" until it was too late for thousands of Jews. How long were you willing to wait before that happened again with Saddam Hussein at the helm? "Pretty much. Yeah. At least you know what Hussein is all about. He doesn't lie about what he's doing the way Bush LIES. Hussein is justified in being the sack of crap that he is, but Bush... Bush LIES constantly and violates every citizen of this nation everyday with his antics. Stop deceiving yourself. He's a dirtbag." Interesting. Again, we were wrong to get rid of him. Again, who's justifying barbarism? Did Bush lie about Saddam's torture? Did he pay Iraqi people to lie about what was done to them? I doubt it. How are you being violated every day? I'd like to know. Don't tell me you're being spied on either. That's a bunch of crap. All these people doging about the domestic spying, yet they'd be the first to want to know why we were attacked again & he didn't know it was coming. You can't have your cake & eat it too! You just want to tie his hands behind his back & force him to fail. No matter what he does, it will be evil & wrong. Your hatred for him is more important to you than our national security. Hell, if I'm reading you right, you'd rather have Saddam as our president! That's fudgeed up! BTW, you are deceiving yourself. I'm not so blinded to believe everything that comes from Bush's mouth, but you are blinded by hatred. If you'd open your mind & think for yourself, maybe you'd realize things aren't so bad. "The Muslims are acting out because they feel that a sacred message from their holy scriptures is being violated and they want to put a stop to it. " No, they're acting out because they're told to by their scriptures. They must kill all the infidels (including you, I might add). Infidels are people who aren't Muslim. There are "peaceful" Muslims out there. Unfortunately, they aren't sparking a movement to show everyone they're different from the monsters hijacking their religion. "There are Christians out killing in a war against terrorism. " So, you'd rather we not fight at all & just let them come get us. Will you be first in line? When will you volunteer to be killed because you don't want to fight terrorism? "A war that your president claimed on national television to have been suggested by your god. " I don't even know what you're talking about here. Sounds pretty insane, but I've learned that extremist liberals believe some wacky things. "Look at how prosperous it is. (see below)" Definition of prosperous: Having success; flourishing: a prosperous new business. Well-to-do; well-off: a prosperous family. Propitious; favorable: a prosperous moment to make a decision So, I'm not sure what word you were looking for, but it wasn't "prosperous." "Christians are mocked because they set themselves up to be mocked. http://www.godhatesamerica.com http://www.godhatessweden.com http://www.godhatescanada.com http://www.godhatesshimp.com http://www.godhatesfags.com http://www.godhatesfigs.com " Fred Phelps is not accepted in the Christian community nor is he considered a real Christian. He is considered an insane old man who doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. Most of his church is extended members of his own family. He is not my brother in Christ. He says "God hates jerks" but yet, he doesn't know their relationship with God. He is not the one to judge. Now, if there were thousands like him in this country trying to kill gays, I'd do my best to be out there shouting him down. Then again, there are already people out there shouting him down. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2006/2/21/93622... Again, I urge you to visit www.theotheriraq.com It was created by the Iraqi people. Do you only want YOUR point of view to be known, or are you willing to see the other side of the coin? Your side of the story isn't the only one out there. You just have to be brave enough to acknowledge that. | Can the United States afford to go 20 years or more without a war? |
| 27 | My mom had a capuchin monkey and it attacked me.
The monkey was from Helping Hands in Boston. I have my doubts they were ever able to train her to help the disabled. | Have you ever been attacked by an animal? |
| 28 | It's better than letting a Muslim nutcase trample you over stupid cartoons.
It's better than taking the chance that someone else will attack you & kill thousands more people. It's better than allowing a Holocaust to continue unabated. | Is war a necessary evil? |
| 29 | > No, war is not necessary.
> > Negotiation and open dialogue are more efficient and effective means > to achieve any goal. War is driven by those who are too intellectually > weak to present their position or are too insecure to accept other > peoples' views or without feeling threatened. Another possibility > is that war is driven by those who stand to make a profit from the > sale of weapons or the reconstruction after a war. > > George W. Bush is an intellectual lightweight; he is a great ambassador > for America's insecurities and he is surrounded by Defence industry > cronies. Given this mix, is it any wonder that America is fighting > two wars? Do you really think we can negotiate with insane loons like the Muslims who riot over stupid cartoons? I don't think it's possible to talk to people like that. Hell, they won't even stop rioting to talk! I'm glad you think Bush is an intellectual lightweight. It's good to know you think so highly of yourself. | Is war a necessary evil? |
| 30 | "expediency is what drives our leaders, not the search for permanent solutions."
I agree with you there. No solutions, but anything to get votes. "For President Bush, who has deep ties to the Defence industry, it is more convenient to wage a war (without a real cause--no links to 9/11, no WMDs, remember?) and score short-term points on the homefront than to take the time to analyse things and find permanent solutions to long-standing issues abroad. But that strategy is backfiring on the Bush Administration. " I beg to differ. Please see www.theotheriraq.com For one thing, I think many in our country are lying to themselves about the reasons for going to Iraq. Yes, WMD was one reason given. But the proper term should be "banned weapons" since that was what the UN had been looking for for 12 years. I think the UN has better things to do than tell someone to get rid of something they know he doesn't have. Besides, Clinton was worried about WMD/banned weapons himself back in 1998. I also believe there was more than one reason for going into Iraq. For one thing, we now have a very convenient strategic area to use if we ever have to deal with Iran. That's another person I'm not sure we can reason with. I mean, really, the leader doesn't believe the Holocaust ever happened. I'm open-minded enough to believe there may have been more reasons for going to Iraq (not for oil, that's silly, human rights I could see though), but, for reasons of national security, they are unable to tell us why for now (just as they probably couldn't tell us if they found Osama). BTW, I'm not so sure war is ever convenient for anyone. Sorry for assuming you were closed-minded. The usual reason for most liberals to believe Bush/Reagen etc are intellectual lightweights is because they don't subscribe to the same beliefs of the elite snobs. Personally, I think Bush uses the "intellectual lightweight" label against his political enemies. Why not let everyone think you're stupid & use it to your advantage? It's great "strategery." LOL That being said, he has made some dumb mistakes. One in particular is letting the UAE buy our ports. That's just shocking! BTW, I prefer wine. | Is war a necessary evil? |
