31Oh, sure, embarrass me by pointing out the game in which I flailed so badly! * wink * I guess Bobby's right about female players? * wink * * wink *

By the way, if you ever want to play again, go to www.correspondencechess.com/cgi-bin/board.pl and start a game.

Intellectually, did Bobby Fischer accomplish more for the U.S than anyone else?
32I feel pretty much the same way you do about Americans, and I've lived here pretty much all my life. I wouldn't listen to anyone who berated you for your comment in a condescending, patronizing tone, and then turned around to make narrow-minded, bizarre comments about Europe and claimed that these comments represented the views of "most Americans." I think "most Americans" literally could not find England on a map, nor Washington DC, but could tell you where the next play-off game (in whatever the season's sport is) will be held. I wish I could be proud of my country, but I just can't.

If anyone is still reading this survey I'm sure going to catch hell for this. Oh well. If someone wants to tell me how I can be proud of this country, without being rude, nasty, or taking a "what he hell is wrong with you" attitude, but rather acknowledging that there are really good reasons to be ashamed, and helping me past them, then that could be really nice.

33That sounds like firm advice which you may like to consider yourself.Intellectually, did Bobby Fischer accomplish more for the U.S than anyone else?
34No. I think the title makes it all the more poignant. The Lord of the Rings was written by a man who had suffered as a foot-soldier through WWI and finished during WWII (written between approx. 1940 and 1952). It is a story of a war-torn world- the Last Alliance of the races, the gigantic armies and battles, all came from his experience and are woven into a terrific epic story. It's a fantasy story based in horrors of real-life conflicts. The parallels between the worlds in which the powers within the Two Towers of Orthanc and Barad-dur join forces to control the free peoples, and some of the actions going on in our own world are worth discussing, not hiding from. Should New Line Cinema and Director Peter Jackson change the title of the 2nd Lord of the Rings film, The Two Towers?
35I don't watch enough of these shows to say. I liked Buffy's mom a lot, and also Terry in 24. those are the only shows I'm watching regularly, now, though. Oh, and I liked Fred's mom in the episode of Angel that she showed up in.E! Online has compiled a list of the Top 10 TV Moms. Of the following, who is your favorite TV Mom?
36I would be so psyched!!!! I almost never use public waste receptacles because most trash I have will be picked up for recycling curb-side by my city- but then I end up carrying it around in my pockets for days. If recycle bins were placed at various places where the public frequently visits (parks, rest areas, gas stations, etc.) would you use them (i.e. would you place materials that could be recycled in the appropriate bins rather than throwing them away)?
37It never occurred to me, but, yeah, maybe I would. It depends on how "special" the needs. Phi and I go away for longish trips sometimes, or sometimes both of us are cranking towards deadlines at the same time, and we can be sloppy guardians. I wouldn't take a pet that I didn't think we could do right by.

If you were planning to adopt an animal from an animal shelter would you adopt one that has special needs or some kind of deformity?
38I was visiting in Boston on winter holiday from college, and was at a party with my girlfriend. She said "You should sleep with my boyfriend!"
I said, "No way, you sleep with him, he's your boyfriend- I'm done with guys."
She replied, "Well, I'm going home with ___ tonight. You should go home with Phi."
When, where and how did you meet your SO?
39I am so unqualified to speak on beauty of flowers. But, anyway, I like violet, tulip, iris, daisy, then rose.Rank these flowers in order of their beauty.
40I have no freakin' clue. Probably whatever Mandy says because she's an awesome mom and Mallory is an awesome kid. What is the best form of discipline for a child?
