| 55 | I don't know enough about it. I know for sure that I do not approve of anyone getting fined because they do not feel they can afford to buy insurance. Insurance costs too much for some people. It's not always what you get as income, but what you already have to pay out of that income -- like kids, daycare, other bills, higher than usual rents, mortgage, etc. It should be up to the individual as to whether they buy insurance or not, and the insurance rates themselves need to go WAY down. I would also like to see one being able to pick exactly what kind of insurance they want. Like myself, for instance, I need vision care, hearing aids, and dental most, so this is the main type of insurance I'd be interested in, if I could afford it. There is too much "small print" and insurance-ese and it's too easy for ordinary people to get ripped off by the system and waste their money on insurance that they could be using to take care of themselves and their families instead. Also since I worked for years for insurance companies, I do not trust them nor doctors either, since I have had some rude docs in the past and would like to avoid most docs as much as possible anyway. | How do you feel about Health Care Reform? |
