Nothing major but I've complained about various stuff a lot of times. | Have you ever had a major verbal confrontation with a sales person or grocery clerk?
Yes. Usually less than 10. | Do you send out any Christmas/Holiday cards? If so, about how many?
I've never played pool so know nothing at all about it. | Do you prefer 8-ball or 9-ball pool?
No, not at all! | Would a policy of multiculturalism become a threat to national security?
Nothing really applies 100% with me, but more like the "Holidays are good, despite..." I'm mainly a loner and the only person I normally get together with for a special occasion is my next-door neighbor. I like holidays because it seems people are a tad friendlier to each other; sometimes there are interesting displays to look at; there are more people than usual running around and as long as I'm not caught in the middle of it, I kinda like the atmosphere of big, bustling crowds. But one reason I don't care for holidays is because you're expected to buy stuff for people when you don't have much money, and I don't have much to spend even though I do like buying people surprise stuff -- IF I think they might really love it. Sometimes I want to get something for someone but they don't seem to want anything -- and sometimes people get stuff for me that I do not have any use for at all, yet I can't tell them this. It's the thought that counts I guess. I do NOT appreciate being pressured to give, give, give when I haven't much money. Some people who are always broke like I am, however, might deny themselves something they'd really enjoy getting themselves IF they had more to spend, and then it's fun to present them with a surprise gift they couldn't otherwise afford. This is a GOOD survey! | What does the winter holiday season do for you?
Convenience of passing a border (visas). Too much hassle. Also too much waiting and lines at airports. | For you, what is the most important factor of choosing the tour?
I totally detest and loathe any kinds of dress codes. This sort of thing goes against everything I believe in. What kind of sadist thinks up such stupid, disgustingly detailed rules to make kids' school lives even more difficult than they already are? I imagine they are trying to cut down on gang colors and logos and make it more difficult for kids to bring weapons to school, which is unfortunately necessary in today's schools. But it just seems they are going too far with this. And how does a staff member adult get inside info about what constitutes a gang member's logo or colors in order to make some kind of ruling that the kid can't wear it? The kids will just think of something else! Instead of trying to be so strict with clothing rules, which they've done forever anyway, they should keep an eye on the little monsters better and have more classes re how to get along with others; how to live in the "real world" once they're grown; zero tolerance for ANY kind of bullying -- regardless of what a person is WEARING. What really gets me is that "no denim of any kind" -- sheesh -- are these kids slaves? Everyone wears denim -- what is their reasoning? If it's a Catholic school, I do understand that these require certain uniforms. But how can a kid have respect for their teachers, etc. and even learn properly if they're going to be restricted so much? People should be comfortable when they are trying to learn something. I've been hassled at work as an adult because of some old-fashioned boss's ideas of the "proper" clothing to wear to work. Since I've been an extreme individualist since birth, all this restricting of one's freedoms -- as long as no one is getting hurt -- just seriously bugs me. Let the parents restrict a LITTLE kid, if they must -- but once a kid is a certain age they're going to want to wear certain fashions. Lots of kids already resent school with all the other stupid rules that don't make any sense to them. Certain things like having to wear shoes to school make sense -- and this could easily be explained to a kid -- but not "no denim" or "jean fabric jackets," or that brand names must be a certain size ! No team jerseys except for that particular school? Ridiculous!! No hoodies?? Jeez. Where IS this school? | How Do You Feel About Southfield High's Dress Code
I have no idea. Not familiar with southern states. I have HEARD that Mississippi is the most suspicious of "outsiders" and rather backward. I have also heard that Atlanta, GA is a good modern big city to live in, and I've always wanted to visit New Orleans for Mardi Gras, and always thought that would be a fun city to live in. But these impressions are from hearsay and mostly novels and magazine articles. You should have had an "I have no idea" or "I don't know" here. I think extreme south Texas (near the Gulf) is rather backward, but this is colored by the fact that my parents were from there and when I had to go there with them to visit relatives when I was a kid, I thought it was totally backwoods with nothing to do or see (except the ocean which my parents thought was too dangerous). I also remember lots of bugs and especially really big spiders. The other states here I'm not at all familiar with personally. Florida is supposed to be good for tourists, but novels I have read depict it as a place where a lot of old folks go to retire, and not a lot of action going on there -- except it has good weather, although hot. | Which Southern states are the friendliest? (Rank them)
Not familiar with anything concerning Harry Potter. | Which Harry Potter character do you identify with the most?
Other. I'm retired so this does not apply to me. But when I used to have a job and there was no work, I would surf the Net. If I was unable to get online I would read something brought from home. I was never without a book in my backpack to take to work, to read during lunchtime or whenever. | What do you do when you're bored at work?
