| 7673 | I've been trying to avoid commenting as over the last few months I'm content to let things go. I am open-minded about whether homosexuals are born or raised that way. If they are born then fine. If they are raised that way then fine. What I do know is that I'm not going to change. I am happy to be viewed as ungodly. I have even responded to comments to a woman on the subway that 'No, I will not burn in hell because gay people are the devils own'. Okay it was in jest as I neither believe in god or the devil. I understand that you feel disgust although I suspect there is a deeper issue with your psyche. And you know my views on patriarchy already. With all this peadophile and druggie nonsense though you really have to stop. If I had desires for children then I hope to god I wouldn't act on them. But if I have desires for grown men and I meet someone (I liked) who had the same desires then I see nothing wrong with hooking up. I understand your problem with prissy camp men. This is back to your views on women. But seriously - to say you don't know any gay people is really funny. Even I have been shocked by the gay people I meet. When I first joined my company I wondered what my boss thought when I told him I was gay as he seemed like such a scruffy straight bloke. I was double shocked when I heard him talking about his partner. If you lived in London I would take you out for a drink to open your eyes. Well I hope this didn't come across as horrible as it wasn't meant to. Well its seems strange coming from me but maybe they have a higher opinion of God and Christ himself than you do. My concept of spiritual people is one of universal compassion. Y'know where the very presence of people are a joy! Where you look at them and want to burst with pride and love. Like you soon will feel when your beautiful child is born and you first hold them in your arms and they open their eyes and you connect. That's being 'The Father' that's mentioned in the bible. | 7677 | For the record ( and no I havn't made the mistake on forgetting to reply to someone - I'm just typing) I value the opinion that gay people are made that way rather than born. All I can say is that at the end of the day IT DOES NOT MATTER. Really it doesn't matter. Who gets hurt? Who knows love? What are the consequences? People say 'I don't mind gay people but I would be horrified if my children saw two men kissing in a park. What's the problem? (although I don't like to see anyone kissing). Kiddies get used to it. You live in the real world not f***ing disneyland! As I've said before - and will no doubt repeat - the problem people have is that they view gay men as 'being like a woman' and they view 'being like a woman' as a bad thing. Even gay people themselves can get all stuffy and say 'well I'm not like a woman -don't tell me I behave like a woman when I don't'. What's wrong with women? Religions which state their objection also have a lot to say about women and their place in society. It all boils down to one thing. Patriarchy.
