241When I was a kid, the craze was bubble gum. They used to hand the stuff out free in the playground. I remember once, all the kids had bubble gum, but all I had was some measly piece of chewing gum. I felt so inadequate, especially when one of the kids asked me about my bubble gum, and all I could offer was this tiny piece of grey chewing gum. He proceeded to blow a magnificent bubble, remove the offending matter from his mouth and then turn his gum into a gorgeous pink hot air balloon floating groundwards, just to accentuate my shame. So no! No gum in schools...;o)Should Gum Be Allowed In School?
242I don't drink wine, because I can no longer tolerate alcohol due to past excesses; but I used to adore wine, and especially a really good red wine. Were things different, I'd probably opt for the Cabernet Sauvignon. For Red Wine lovers
243It depends on the situation, and the person. I mean, if it was someone I didn't want to run the risk of offending, of course I'd play along. However, if it was someone I was close to, it would depend on my mood!Would you play along?
2441) No, but I'm going to check him out right now. 2) Having done so, I remember reading about him a short while ago in a magazine and the incredible posthumous success he'd achieved. That's right, isn't it? Think so. It's a shame that he died so young. Have you ever heard of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole?
245In general I'd say I try to control negative thoughts. In the past though, I've had a problem with sad thoughts relating to my existence which have at times been almost unbearable. I am not getting them at present; and I'm wondering if this has been due to some kind of survival instinct that's been triggered. Too much intense sorrow is dangerous to individual health and survival; few would disagree. Do you avoid thinking about sad things?
246Because I'm English, everything ("Oh to be in England now that April's here..."), but especially the warm weather following the bleak English winter. What do you like best about spring?
247It's difficult to say. I have a good many books in my possession that I have read, and which I bought for the specific purpose of doing so. But I've also books I've never read. These were either gifts; or books I acquired through having them unloaded on me, and in which I've little or no interest. What percentage of the books you own have you read? II
248Off the top of my head...Buckingham Palace. The White Cliffs of Dover. Yorkshire Moors. Loch Ness. Ben Nevis.
Were I to try again, I'd probably think of five completely different iconic landmarks...:oD
What would you say are the five most iconic landmarks of your country?
249Almost never. It has to be a special occasion. How often do you go out to eat at a restaurant?
250I don't often drink pop. I tend to opt for diluted fruit juice instead. Among those mentioned, I occasionally drink ordinary Coke. Very, I mean v e r y occasionally, I'll drink Sprite; or Cherry Coke; or some other fizzy drink. I do like these drinks, it's just that I never seem to drink them much these days...what is your favorite kind of pop
