I spent January through November in AmeriCorps*NCCC a 10 month federal program where people ages 18-24 do community service work in return for room & board, a small stipend and an educational award. It is an amazing program; I got the chance to do all kinds of different work & travel around the country. I also made some wonderful friends that I'll keep for life. Now I am doing temp work at a law firm and looking for a job in a library. Next year I'm planning on going back to school to get my MLS. | Has your job status changed in the past three months?
I don't have any one place I want to go more than others. I just moved to New Jersey, and I am planning on traveling all around the east coast. I want to visit as many Major League baseball parks as possible. I also intend to go to Europe for a month this summer, and someday I'd love to go to Japan, India, Austrailia...the list goes on. | What location on Earth do you most want to visit?
I've never been to the Boy Scout Headquarters, but I've been to Irving, TX, and I can't imagine anyone having that be the place they'd like to go more than anywhere in the world! | What location on Earth do you most want to visit?
I'd say it is definitely easier to buy for women as a general rule. This could be because I am a woman, so I feel more in tune with "what women want." The easiest *person* to buy for is my brother, though. | As a general rule, do you find it easier to buy presents for men, or for women?
This is a neat website! I just stumbled across it when doing a Google search for vegetarian marshmallows. (They're mentioned in the Thanksgiving dinner survey) I like the casual, friendly quality of the responses. I love Royal Riviera Pears, and I want to read a lot of the books mentioned in this thread now. I couldn't possibly choose one book either. A lot of my favorites are mentioned already. A few more would include: "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White, "Winds of War" & "War and Remembrance" by Herman Wouk. A recent favorite is "The Sparrow" by Mary Doria Russell | In your opinion, which was the best book published in the 20th century?
