#CommentSurvey
11Humans will be renowned for taking life too seriously. The thing we'll hear most often from non-humans is "whoa, relax!"What will humans be known for?
12Wow. If such a device were invented, either our society would undergo a massive revolution overnight, or else it would be declared illegal and our society would slowly twist itself into unrecognizability in the process of attempting to avoid making the changes necessary to accommodate such technology.

That's my two cents.
What is the highest price you would be willing to pay for this new invention?
13I think that this survey ought to have included additional options like these:
  • I would not buy such a thing at any price.
  • I have something else to say.
It's generally a good idea to have options that cover any reasonable position someone might take regarding the survey question when creating a survey. It's not usually possible to anticipate all the answers, which makes the "other"/"none of the above"/"I have something else to say" answer particularly important.

14I choose Noondoonia, with Wooloomooloo coming in a close second.Choose an Australian place name to rename your city.
15The question posed by this survey would seem rather pointless, since the advanced stats on any survey provide an answer to this question.

However, the advanced stats for this survey show an anomaly. So far everyone who checked "female" when they signed up for their Survey Central account has checked "female" on this survey as well. Of those who checked "male" when creating their accounts, two have not checked "male" on this survey. One checked "female", a second checked "other".

I'm not sure what we can learn from this, if anything. Perhaps people who answer "male" in "what is your sex" surveys are more likely to change their mind (or their sex) later. * smile *
Tell me your sex.
16Of those listed, I've only been white water rafting.

However I also do all kinds of dangerous but mundane things, such as driving cars, using power tools, carrying unwieldy objects up and down staircases, talking to strangers on the internet, etc. * wink *
Which of the following dangerous/semi-dangerous activities have you participated in?
17143, 1874, 2, 22, 15, 35, 135, hike!List the numbers of the homes/apartments or other places of residence in which you have lived.
18There's something to be said for being alone at the moment of death. When I die, I might want to be able to concentrate on dying rather than trying to choke out a final farewell. Death is literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, not to be wasted if at all possible. If you were on your death bed and you had just one minute left to live...but there were two anxious people "needing a minute" with you...
19Merry Christmas!Would you like to sign this Christmas card?
20I don't think I understand the situation well enough to be telling Nestlé what they should be doing.

If the stories I've heard in the past are true, Nestlé has a lot to answer for when it comes to the way they deal with the people of Africa. This biases me toward thinking that they ought to forgive as much of this debt as they can afford.
What do you think Nestlé should do in this situation?
