Bass player. Being the front man just doesn't appeal, so that's not even an option. Keyboardist... would be neat, too, but I think I'd like to be able to move around a little during shows. And there'd be the least possible temptation (or expectation) to do self-serving solos. :) | If you were in a rock band, which of the following roles would you fill, assuming you were equally talented at all of them?
(I may mix home and arcade, here. Deal. :) Favorites: "classic" era arcade games (Tempest, Defender, Star Wars), creative derivatives (Arkanoid from Breakout, Badlands from Super Sprint, Tempest 2000), driving games of -all- kinds (Badlands, Continental Circuit, POD, Wipeout/Wipeout XL, NASCAR Racing 2, San Francisco Rush), and action/logic puzzle games (Puzzle Fighter, 3 in Three). Flying games are a new thing, if I get hooked on them, it'll probably be due to the coolness of Colony Wars. :) Carnage I can really live without, ditto for first-person shooters in general... though in cases where there's a cool plot (Marathon, System Shock), I can forgive either or both. Console RPGs are something I haven't gotten into yet (but could, given the opportunity and free time). Turn-based strategy games (Civ II, especially) are very cool, but I rarely seem to have the time for them. The only genre whose omission from the list I immediately notice is the sports simulation (basketball, baseball, hockey, etc.) -- I've played a few of these, and I currently own one. They can be a fun diversion, though I can't say they're my absolute favorites. They sure seem to sell, though. | Do you like your computer games (not stand-up arcade games)...
I don't -think- so. I'll revote if I remember any... | Have you ever had a friendship that began with an argument or a fight?
Going by the "I could trust them enough to confide in them about anything, and know that they would really understand" criteria... 10-ish. | How many people would you count as your nearest and dearest, most precious, sacred, cherished friends?
Eating an unbalanced breakfast of water and Munchkins, with the TV on as background noise, chatting with the housemates as they pass by, and miscellaneous gweeping. | What other activities are you doing while accessing Survey Central right now?
This is too general for me (I'm borderline on the issue, and really need more specifics to make up my mind)... but if I -had- to pick based on just this, probably all of the "life-saving" choices, and none of the rest. Differentiating by type of animal seems rather pointless. | Animal testing. (Please forgive the large set of answers; I want to see correlations between two ranges.)
All of these predate my earliest memories (age 4, and a little at age 3). | Do you clearly recall a time in your childhood where you did not know:
Haven't yet had a need to... | Have you ever contacted one of your government representatives?
Usually, unless I've botched it and I'm feeling indignant. ("Yes, I know I removed the shrinkwrap, broke the seal, lost the receipt, and bought the item seven months ago. It still doesn't work -- I should be able to exchange this.") | When returning an item back to the place from which it was purchased, do you...
I let a good percentage of cars in, in this situation. Much more frequently if they're not being obnoxious about it. | When there are people waiting to turn onto the same road as you, what will make you more likely to let them in.
