1No, and probably not.Have you ever been on a cruise vacation?
2Thanks * smile * I was just hoping it came from here and wasn't hidden on my computer somewhere. It's never good when you suddenly start getting pop-ups out of nowhere.

What would you do if you were in the following relationship?
3I think the only time I would consider staying is if we have kids, and if the relationship is not volatile. What would you do if you were in the following relationship?
4I know all about that move.

Do you think people usually think it through first and make the decision to play out this scenerio? Or does it just happen?

5> Breaking up with someone takes balls.

Oh, I agree. You should see how hard it is to break up with me. It's the most pathetic thing you've ever seen. It's been a while since I was the dumper.... and it kind of feels like I've lost a little power with that. I wonder if always getting crap on can make me eventually become someone who craps on others.

What would you do if you were in the following relationship?
6I think that if the break-up begins with one person being an ass to distance themselves from the other, it's a crap-upon situation. What would you do if you were in the following relationship?
7I just got a pop-up ad. Do you do those here? It was weird, how it appeared and then disappeared by itself. What would you do if you were in the following relationship?
8Guess they didn't want to waste all that prime real estate on a memorial, which is what I was led to believe would be placed there.Did you know that a new World Trade Center is under construction in New York?
9What do you mean by "world" anyway? Humanity? I'm unconcerned.Do you believe that the world will really end in 2012
10I am going to choose "somewhat".

Over the past five years or so, my company has been scaling back US operations and outsourcing to India, Mexico, The Phillipines, and China. Our call centers have been practically wiped out. Five call centers across the country have been shut down and outsourced. The most complex functions for the most important clients are still handled out of the one call center left in the US: mine.

The company bases client satisfaction with the decision to outsource solely on reports that are made by the US based call center employees, who rarely (if ever) talk to the lower level clients who deal mostly with the outsourced call centers. Also, tight time restraints are placed on the US based call center employees, which makes it nearly impossible to follow through on every complaint that they do get.

The company is not retaining clients because they are using shoddy data. They either do not recognize or refuse to recognize the fact that they have chopped off their own feet.

We are being moved to a smaller facility; much of the staff works from home. Also, all of the industrial functions that were contained in the same facility as the call center have been outsourced. The last time a company I worked at downsized to a smaller building, they eventually laid everyone off and shut down. I am not confident that I am viewed as necessary. I expect that eventually, the company will make the decision to oursource all of customer service. When they lay me off, I will take my severence, unemployment, and any other assistance I can get and go back to school. I'm kind of looking forward to it as much as I am scared of it.
How secure is your job?
