| 6 | i was in the midst of a motorcycle trip in canada and was packing up my gear to pile it back onto the bike. one of the folks i was with came back to the hotel room and explained that the wtc had collapsed and that planes had hit it and the pentagon. i was stunned, because i knew the wtc was designed to take a plane collision or a kiloton blast at the base so how could it fall down?? we started riding and i got more information at various gas and food stops as the day went on from talking to folks and from calling my family and friends to make sure everyone i knew was okay. the us/ca border was open by the time we got to it, and i crossed without having to show a single document proving that i was me.
