| 6 | Unlike most things political, I didn't have a strong opinion on whether we should invade Iraq. I could see advantages and I thought it was very risky. In hindsight, almost everything that was said about how it would play out was wrong, but it does still seem possible that Iraq will benefit in the end. It's certainly not going to lead to a flowering of democracy through the region.
I'll point out, yet again, that we knew at the time that Iraq and Hussein did not have ties to the terrorists that caused 9/11. That was never claimed except by Bush's opponents as a strawman to try to make Bush look stupid.
